It seems to me, among common people; any serious discussion that there may be extra terrestrial life will summon up storms of laughter and ridicule, usually by people who don’t know jack shit about astronomy or biology. Astronomers' or astrobiologists' views on ET life are indistinguishable to whacked out conspiracy theorist and UFO believers views, most people don’t know the differenceds. But what really pisses me off is they never have any reason for what they are saying. True, we don’t have any first hand evidence of extra terrestrial life such as a specimen, but we have lots of evidence that suggests extremely high probabilities, the only reason we can’t find first hand evidence is because of the vast distances. Guess what? They don’t care, because they think it sounds stupid or they have invalid arguments to back it up. Their moronic views and relentless ridicule, it’s just driving me insane. If you tapped my forehead right now my skull would explode and obliterate everything within a 10 mile blast radius.
Hell, even believing that global warming could melt the ice caps is considered insanity...

I’m still unconvinced...... .creatures capable of travel in those distances would want, of all the wondrousnesses in all the galaxies, to see us..at least me anyways.

The whole concept of alien life DOES NOT HAVE TO BE UFO’S OR TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED BEINGS THAT COME FROM MILLIONS OF LIGHTYEARS TO SEE US.
It could be something as boring or simple as bacteria.
Even if technologically sapient ET’s do exist, they wouldn’t have to come to our specific planet, (the interstellar differences could be too vast), or even be concerned with space travel at all. They might be interested in other things, like art or religion, or practices we have no grasp of.
Do you understand now?

Like I do believe in extra-terrestrial existence to SOME extent but I also believe the media and the government embellished the science of it BIG TIME, and as we all know, words travel quickly, and anyone with fuck all to do can add a lil twist to something to make it sound good.
Once the public got scared, the government obviously had to keep the shyt on the down-low to prevent public mass hysteria.
And thats why everyone thinks that theres big green aliens with glass-like eyes, Area 51s holding a flying saucer that launched on to Earth, and Farmer John woke up to feed the cows only to find enormous crop circles in his corn field ... BLAME THE ALIENS lol.
Seriously though I think they’re not there to hurt us, and they’re definitley nothing like anyone describes them, they’re probably like microscopic critters crawling around underneath the ground on Mars or something ... after all, any life on another planet is a big deal and a big break-through.

Very awkward it is.

yeah, buts thats like so.... boring......I’ll concede this though..somewhat. scientist have apparantly found living organisms on meteorites that hit this planet. So there is no doubt at all that there are living things in other places in the universe.
Maybe by that definition there is other life in the universe. But the chances of another planet supporting advanced beings such as ourselves are 1 and 1,000,000,000,000,000. Sure there are more stars than that, much less planets, but a fraction of those stars emit the correct type of light to sustain life.

Considering how big the universe is, it easily outways this.

I could imagine what other kind of life is out there waiting to be discovered. One day anyway, we’ll be able to do it.
