All Arrancars are Vasto Lorde except Number 9.
Not true if you recall the fight between Ichigo and Grimmjow; where Grimmjow explains things we find out the Menos Grande have three sub groups. Gillian, Adjuchas, and Vasto Lorde. Grimmjow wsa a Adjuchas. And most likely # 5,6,7,8,and 10are Adjuchas seeing that Ulquiorra is the only one as of now whom has a mask that appears to be Vasto Lorde

Thats not true if you read the manga closely you’ll see little filler arcs here and their like the current story with the new 3rd division captain or the one with the multiplying Arracar

My mistake. Not all arrancars are Vasto Lorde. Totally forgot about Adjuschas.
Tell me, though, where it says Grimmjow is Adjuschas. Link/proof. I think he is Vasto Lorde because...
I think people are getting confused with this VL menos class thing. From my view, all current Espada and previous Espada except #9 were VL class menos. Grimmjow is definately a VL menos as Shawlong said it himself that Grimmjow was destined to continue on evolving into a VL. Just because they showed a flash back of Grimmjow as Adjuchas doesn’t mean he never evolved into a VL.
When an Arrancar releases their sword they revert back to their previous form as a Hollow. You can determine which class menos they were previously just by looking at the size of their released form.
Human size release forms: (VL Class)
Former Espada: Dordonii, Thunderwich, Afro, Nel
Current Espada: # Nnoitra, Grimmjow, Zommari Leroux, Szayel Aporro Granz
All of their releases were of human shape form, even the former espada. Human shape form doesn’t mean they’ll look human when release, it’s just their bodies are of same shape or size as a human.
Medium size release forms: (Adjuchas class)
Shawlong, Edrad, Yylfordt Granz, Tesla
Even though they look human as an Arrancar but when released they no longer look human or come close to human sized or shape.
Huge release forms: (Gillian Class)

This is probably the only Gillian release form we’ve seen. I was thinking maybe Grand Fisher was a Gillian Arrancar also.

Got too lazy and didn’t bother to add them.
3rd Division Captain arc is the recent one, and I thought the multiplying Arrancars were not fillers. Oh, well. :/

And I’ll agree that it never said that he stayed an Adjuchas, but it also never says he became a VL the only Arracar that we can assume is a VL is Ulquiorra due to what his broken mask resembles, as far as appearance goes Szayel didn’t look anything human when he released his Zanpaktou
Sorry I was editing my post after I went back and read all of yours, I’ll agree that; that was a flash back, but Tite never confirms or denies that Grimmjow went on to become a VL, to be perfectly honest it would make sense that the lower five espada be Adjuchas and Gillian class menos grande seeing how Aizen has always worked.
Of course Aizen wins. Didn’t you see the episode where he made Grimmjow collapse to ground by just releasing a tiny bit of his reiatsu? If he went all out, he would slaughter them all. Aizen is the guy that stopped Bankai Ichigo’s blade with one finger and then brutally defeated him. He’s also the one that instantly defeated Captain Komamura as well, and he stated that at that time, he DIDN’T PERFORM THE KIDOU CORRECTLY. This is out of the question.
