I dunno for me. I just beat Genesis in CC and thought this would be a good match because of their personalities. Anyway, Vergil is hella durable and can cut you from far away without touching you.

Summoned Swords? Genesis can blow you up from far away without touching you.

No it is like a sphere thing that if you are in it cuts you. Yeah he has that but Vergil has a crazy durability level and crazy regeneration.

Well he seems to be metahuman and also possesses some powerful materia. He held his own pretty well with Sephiroth and can also fly. Also I’m pretty sure he has no Jenova cells in him which is pretty damn impressive. Anyway, he is neat Sephiroth’s level in CC.

I think Genesis actually has Jenova cells in him, more specifically the G-variant.
But, regardless, he possesses good Materia, but what types of attacks does he use? (I’ve seen the fireball ones, but that’s not everything he uses I know for sure.)

Summon meteria from what I know right now. I’m not done with the game just yet. Anyway, he can summon Ifrit,Bahamut, and Bahamut furry from what I know at the moment.

For someone who knows about the original DMC, this strikes as bloody weird. o.o
But, otherwise, it’s pretty hard to tell who would win until we get to know more about Genesis. If Vergil gets all his weapons (Beowulf, Force Edge and of course Yamato) he might be able to take out the beasts fairly easily, but it’s Genesis mostly.
Best conclusion I can give.

Well once I beat the game I can tell you more. Vergil in DMC defently has a way better durability than beginning DMC3 Dante and look what he took as far as damage.

Yeah, Vergil has way better durability than Dante. Also, no Nelo Angelo armour. Compared to normal Vergil from DMC3, he’s way too slow and not powerful enough to make up for it.

Okay, that works. Anyway, Vergil holds at least the advantage in durability for now.

He also probably has a good advantage at close combat, as he can teleport close to or behind Genesis and easily attack him with Yamato and Spiral Swords.
With Genesis' summons it makes things interesting at least. Ranged is highly debatable yet.

That is true, but Genesis has very fast reflexes..Oh he also has fire materia. It is probably firaga because he is a first class soldier and all. He can shoot those pretty fast at least. Adds to his range skill for the debate.
Thats Bahamut furry. Anyway, I think the attack is for cinimatic flare because it doesn’t kill you but...

Well it doesn’t do to much to Zack. Around 1.3k or so health. How about we only use Ifrit for summoning?
More or less, it’s that Vergil can’t really attack it back from what I can tell, only go after Genesis. But if it doesn’t kill in one hit, he might be able to survive it or take down Genesis before he can summon it. (chances of that are slim)
Never heard of Ifrit personally.
