You can attack summons in the game, those are more or less limit breaks those big cinimatic scenes. Anyway, this is Ifrit

Realistcally he should be able to dodge.

Yeah, the limit breaks are going to be hard as hell for Vergil to get out of the way of it seems, even with Darkslayer.
(EDIT: Now I can view it. Stupid youtube)
Vergil is very fast though. Vergil’s main disadvantage though is the fact Genesis can fly around, with one wing no less.
Vergil could probably counter it with his super Judgement Cut, though.
(So God help me every time I have to try to dodge that. x.x)
Haha..Yeah. He might be able to cut Ifrit in pieces, remember Beawulf in 3?
Well, Beowulf was blinded in that one so it wasn’t too fair, but nonetheless Yamato is that powerful.
Well Vergil would have probably done the same thing even if he wasn’t blind.
True, that’d take Ifrit out, but what about the Bahamuts?
Well in the game, just multiple slashes while avoiding their little projectile and sometimes physical hits works well and seeing as how Vergil can teleport pretty much and use his spirit swords he could probably taken them out.

Now the issue comes to adding Genesis into that.
Genesis and Sephiroth fight at about 1:35 onwards
If we’re using Genesis from that screen and the summons, Vergil probably has it with Darkslayer, which doesn’t seem right considering it’s Genesis. =/

Well add in his ability to fly. If he is attacking along with his summons it could be bad.

Well, Vergil has Helm Breaker and Aerial Rave with Yamato and Force edge as well as the Darkslayer jump, and Judge-cut and Spiral Swords as well.

Do you think those Beawulf guantlets things would be good?

If it got to the ground, he’d be able to come at him with starfalls and maybe a few lunar phases, but for the most part they’re too slow.
Well he seems to be metahuman and also possesses some powerful materia. He held his own pretty well with Sephiroth and can also fly. Also I’m pretty sure he has no Jenova cells in him which is pretty damn impressive. Anyway, he is neat Sephiroth’s level in CC.
