Well in the game, just multiple slashes while avoiding their little projectile and sometimes physical hits works well and seeing as how Vergil can teleport pretty much and use his spirit swords he could probably taken them out.

Well, Vergil has Helm Breaker and Aerial Rave with Yamato and Force edge as well as the Darkslayer jump, and Judge-cut and Spiral Swords as well.

If it got to the ground, he’d be able to come at him with starfalls and maybe a few lunar phases, but for the most part they’re too slow.

Well he seems to be metahuman and also possesses some powerful materia. He held his own pretty well with Sephiroth and can also fly. Also I’m pretty sure he has no Jenova cells in him which is pretty damn impressive. Anyway, he is neat Sephiroth’s level in CC.
