It is interesting to see the diverse world there is between people and personalities in the musical world. There are the metalheads, gangsters, rockers, punks, emos, electro-heads, scene kids, and techno fans (dont know the word for them)

Here, vote on what musical follower you are, and define what you stand for, what your music stands for, and why you enjoy your music, and if you wish, post if your music is constantly stereotyped and why.

I. METALHEAD (listen to Heavy Metal)

II. GANGSTER (Listen to Rap/Hip Hop)

III. ROCKER (Listen to Rock)

IV. PUNK (Listen to Punk)

V. EMO (Listen to Emo)

VI. SCENE KID/MAGGOT (Listen to Metalcore, Pop Rock, Pop Emo, and Nu Metal)

and

VII. Techno-Heads (Listen to Techno/Electronic)

VIII. Classy (Listen To Classical, Jazz, and Blues)

I will start first. I am mainly a metalhead, but I also love rock, classical, and psytrance, which is a form of techno. When it comes to looks, you can tell I enjoy metal. Metal stands for many different things, usually pending from subgenre, but as a whole, metal states that you should be yourself, and enjoy what you want to enjoy, despite what pop culture forces (MTV, etc.) tell you to enjoy. In that fashion, I guess we are closely related to the punks. I enjoy the music merely because I like it, but I guess it is because of the diversity that metal has to offer. It can be the softest music you can find, and can be the most brutal you can find. I also love it because of how hard the musicians work to make an album or a song that only very little people will hear, and because of how many people criticize metal music. My music is constantly stereotyped by my school mates, and on websites I am a part of. It is stereotyped because people judge metal by rumors that are started by news shows (like the Columbine tragedy), and because it sounds very intense, peole think they are playing random notes and are just bashing on instruments, which still makes me laugh to hear that to this day. I can’t believe people actually believe a musician would really do that. Oh well, they are retarded anyway.

None lol. I’m a little bit of most of them... but hardcore music fans of any genre’s are usually complete douchebags.

I’m a mix of 1 and 2, but the majority goes to rap. I’m not a hardcore fan though. I just love the music.

I am a follower of many kinds. I enjoy listening to Rock, Metal, Punk, some forms of Techno, Jazz/Blues and classical. However I have a strong distaste for Rap of any kind, and Emo has never gained my vote either.

What about snobbish indie hipster douchebags such as myself who listen to eclectic indie folk, rock and ambient music?

My taste in music is pretty eclectic. But, I’m mainly a “rocker”. I like some classical and some metal. I also like some punk and “new wave”.
