I’m more interested in CPU power rather then GPU. I want smarter AI, better physics, more action going on at once. etc..
21 - They would not make the PSP2 that powerful. Unless they want the battery life to be 10 minutes and the heat from the chips kill it off. Technology moves fast, but not THAT fast. they need time to decrease the DYe and squeeze out more 'Floating Points' per Watt. Then they need to get batteries to hold more charge. I want enemies that can actually think, rather then following scripts. They use real logic. I want destructible environments. (ala Alan wake) And I want thousands of enemies on screen in massive LOTR style games.
Some day we will have games like this, sadly not today.

I’d have one hell of a good time if games were more like that. ---

Cause if this happens, the run and gun shooters, the unreal action games have to be taken to new levels. Now I love the unrealistic ones, but I think this is what the shooter genre needs. Some realism in your decisions. Where really getting shot once will kill you or at least wound you. Where really the lives of your squad mates matter to the success of your mission or something like that. I think this is what the shooter genre needs to really turn it around give a new perspective of it. ---

Use a phat battery on a slim and it’s double that. The PSP was a technological marvel when it came out because of all the power it had. Battery life was a concern but they handled it pretty well. I think in 3 or 4 years time they can pull off the same thing for the PSP2.
The PSP Slim has power save options too and different screen brightnesses that can increase battery life.
The iphone I was reading up on and it is roughly 3x or 5x more powerful than the PSP and the battery can last a day on the internet. It probably wont last as long playing games because it was designed for music, movies, and a phone but that shows what can be done. ---

I want to have a blast when I play a game, and unexpecting things to happen so I can enjoy the game for what it is. ---

Alright, the AI. They may decide to split into squads or 4, or next time you play 5, or 3, or not split up at all. It all depends on if the leader believes it’s needed to win.
They may place traps near an archway your teammates may walk under, blowing the satchel to cause it to fall in and kill.
I want it to fell like we are fighting other human players. Scary to think a Silicon and plastic chip with no moving parts can do this.
But now I’m rambling. I just can’t wait. I think the gen after this will be a true feast for us.

A new WWII game has realistic physics and looks amazing in action but it sucks.
Rainbow Six has all the rest but it';s probably not your style game. You have to be a god to not need a team and to work alone. ---

Something where cover actually is important. Something where seeing gunfire really is an issue to see in the distance.
I mean war is hell. It’s very psychedelic. Imagine putting that experience into a game. Imagine the story you could tell. I mean it would be such an incredible masterpiece and really show how gaming is more than just something used for killing the enemy, but really relaying emotion into its players.
Why do you think I loved the Guts n Glory rumors. It was that kinda game. A game that really makes you think about your actions. ---

People said we would never fly, or the lightbulb was an insane idea. If you were to tell someone many years ago about the Internet or the computer, you’d be classified as insane.
The simple fact is, we will have AI that can plan and take us down, visuals that match CGI, thousands of enemies on screen and much, much more.
Anyways, it was nice chatting. But I have to go.

I thought Twilight Princess’s ending was very emotional. I mean the story just brought you in so much that by the time you got to the end of the game, what happened with teh characters really did matter.
I mean it’s things that I see like that what I see most lacking in games. I mean I’ve seen Wall-E twice now, and the emotion captured in something that is so lifeless by nature and had barely any speaking parts was incredibly done in that movie. If you’ve seen Wall E then you know what I mean. That movie was simply amazing because by the end of the movie you were so drawn in emotionally that you were on edge by what was going on with the characters.
And those are CG animations. So it can be done in games, especially which will use voice acting, although that sometimes ruins it I suppose haha. This is what I want to see in games mostly. I think the best games are the one that draws you in. Whether by gameplay or story, it’s what makes those games the best. When you are emotionally attached to what goes on in the game, you’ll enjoy it so much more. It’s just most games don’t do that becasue they try to attach you to characters that really just aren’t believable or built up well. ---

Quick comment.
Trust me, limitations, whether cost limitations or technical ones. Will ensure the PSP2 won’t be as powerful as the 360 or PS3. Trust me on this. but it will still be damn impressive. It will prob have 256MB of RAM. And a 1.4Ghz processor.

You’re right but it’s the media format. If Twilight Princess were a movie it would make me feel.
The stories for some video games were great and displayed great for a video game but I find it’s just the format that determines it. A movie will always make me feel more than a video game. It’s not that video games can’t have great stories because some do but that their different and have different roles and jobs.
I mean I can’t feel when pressing a button.
I can only feel excitement, a rush, like in RE when you first step in a trap but I can’t go any deeper than that. It’s just not like a movie. ---
