Regular Rep: 5  Joined: 23 Jun 2008 Posts: 124 OFFLINE | Honestly, if the fricken X-men can defeat apocalypse then Vegeta would soundly spank him. Or at least that’s how it would be if he wasn’t laden with various impressive abilities that he conveniently forgets to make use of when a Marvel hero needs to beat him. Relative power in the Marvel universe is so haphazard and poorly regulated, whereas in DBZ it can all be summed up mathematically most of the time, so the fact of the matter is that, even though Vegeta could probably dust Apocalypse in seconds, Apocalypse has so many typical comic-book, cheap, poorly concieved get-out clauses it’s ridiculous. | |

PIS = Plot Induced Stupidity
At times, for the sake of the plot, characters that are immensely more powerful than their opponent will “job” to carry on the plot of the story, even though the characters powers and history would clearly show that they are more than capable of destroying their opponent.
