Weezy’s only really nice/noteworthy songs are Tha Block is Hot, Hustler Muzik, and I Feel Like Dying. End of story. Sure he has other nice songs like his verse in We Takin' Over, The Sky’s the Limit, A Millie, etc, but that’s all typical shit that anyone can do.

One Night Only , Trouble, When They Come for Me,Scarface list could go on listen to those first and tell me what you think.
Edit- Not to mention the greatest song of all time Mr. Carter

Lil Wayne- Makes popular music..makes hot music..probably is the most lyrical of the pure mainstream rappers..He does have many quotables but it doesnt take a genius to know that he just rambles on whatever thought pops into his head..I admit,at times,he does does have strong subject matter but you can’t argue that most of his songs are about either money, drugs,or violence..To be honest,he’s not very deep..When you listen to a Lupe Fiasco song, there’s a totally different vibe..They’re packed with metaphors, wordplay, complex rhyme schemes and he does this while sticking to the subject which is what makes him special..And i read a metaphor the other day in a magazine about something else but i think it applies here as well..While Lil Wayne is exciting and is basically a comic book,he is in no way, shape,or form able to be compared the encyclopedia which is Lupe Fiasco...Do you understand yet??..While you will obviously still love Weezy F,you at least have to respect Lupe’s lyrical and musical brilliance..pzzzz

See the thing that most people get wrong is confusing lyricist and rapper, lyrics are only a part of what makes a great rapper while Lupe has the slight edge there that’s the only thing that he’s close to Weezy with.

So...go into everything that makes a rapper..
Ok I will thus proving another one of my points that Jay Z is the GOAT, let’s compare Wayne to Lupe
Lyricism
Lil Wayne- 8 (10 to me)
Lupe - eh I’ll give him a 9.5 even though I don’t think he’s that good ,but let’s keep going
Swagger
Lil Wayne - 9.5 ,along with Jay Z, Kanye, and 50 Wayne has some of the best swagger in his rhymes and interviews
Lupe - 7.5,not really that vocal and doesn’t stand out from a lot of other rappers
Hits-
Lil Wayne- 9, Go DJ,and Fireman weren’t huge hits but bigger than anything Lupe has, plus countless guest appearances on hits and the fact that Lollipop went #1
Lupe- 7, doesn’t really make any hits besides Superstar which was pretty good
Record Sales- (while some might disagree this factors in)
Lil Wayne- 10 , plat in a week all i have to say
Lupe- 8, while he hasn’t gone plat he has decent amount of sales, despite not having a lot of radio play
Influence On Pop Culture-
Lil Wayne- 9, who hasn’t heard somebody quote Wayne
Lupe- 6, Doesn’t really have an impact on mass audience like Wayne

I can agree with John, but I’ve heard Lollipop so fucking much I’m going to shoot my damn radio. They play it too damn much. They overuse a lot of shit. I preferred Gossip.

aiight I respect your opinion..but I feel that if the rap game wasn’t so watered down that Lupe would be a lot more influential..His last album went Gold without having much radio play and about no video play at all..It shows that many people do respect his grind..Here’s my breakdown of rap..
Lyricism:
Lil Wayne- 7.5..Lyrical but not relevant
Lupe Fiasco-..I’ve already stated my opinions
Albums...Sales?Yes but also Quality
Lil Wayne-(8/10) He’s weird because I think he has 9 albums and the C3 sold already 1.7 mill or so but the rest of his albums have not been as well recieved by the public or critics..I will say that The Carter II is very close to a classic if it is not one..C3 was probably a 3.5 or a 4 out of 5..
Lupe Fiasco-(7.5)Has obviously not been in the game as long but he has decent sales..Food and Liquor was not a huge profit but it did receive great critical acclaim..as well as The Cool which went Gold while receiving the same kind of compliments..but he does suffer this category because of lack of sales
Relevance:
Lil Wayne(10)..I don’t need to explain..he runs the rap game..(track whore but nonetheless,he’s the most relevant)
Lupe Fiasco(8)..Puts out mixtapes, albums, and does a few guest appearances here and there
Critical Acclaim:
Lil Wayne: (8)Rolling Stone gave C3 a 4.5/5,I think..something like that..He’s been given much higher ratings ever since he’s gotten with producers besides Mannie Fresh AKA since The Carter series took off but that doesn’t make an excetion for all his other shit that he’s put out that was GRADE A Garbage..sorry
Lupe Fiasco: (9.5)Five Star Albums and a Grammy

Well lyrics and quality of albums are pretty much the same thing and you know most of Wayne’s best lyrics are on his mixtapes which you didn’t put under critical acclaim, the Prefix,Drought series,Drought is Over series, Dedication series, and Like Father Like Son, were all critically acclaimed.
