No actually we are pretty slow, but if we’d only let the most fit of our species survive then genetically over time we’d become faster. I’m not suggesting anything, I’m just saying we’ve gotten slower over time because of that.
Now we may be slower on foot compared to most animals, but in thought we are the fastest creature alive which is why we survive so much easier than the rest.
Nevertheless, yes, to some animals we are slow. Some birds can travel at over 200MPH. But technically, humans are the fastest animals, we simply manipulate our environment to allow us to travel faster. Such as cars, planes, boats. And like i said, for a bipedal species and considering our brain size we can move pretty fast if we want to. Some humans reflex speeds have been shown to be faster then most animals.

sprinting at 30 mph is slow even compared to cats and dogs lets not even mention the cheetah
WTF... comparing bipedal creatures' speeds to quadrupedal species is not fair, they have twice as many legs. Besides, we do defeat some species on foot, such as birds and tortoises. I don’t know how fast badgers are...
However, you know what’s really slow? Zombies. I’m amazed anyone in a zombie movie manages to get infected, they’re so fucking slow, even a snail with emphysema could beat them in a 100m sprint.

I think people are most uncertain rate in between all races...!!! i read in a book ...an olympic athlete can run average of 110yards per every ten seconds...!! But Question is that athlete can run with that constant speed in a mile...? I don`t think so...!! Maybe he`ll make faster...or slower..!! I think that uncertainty defy human....n that sometimes make us weak....!!!
