Ya know throughout the movie I mean Joker may be the insane sadistic person but doesn’t mean he is devoid of philosophies and ideals that are necessarily insane.
The part where he’s talking to batman in the holding cell was an interesting one. He said this:
“See, to them, you’re just a freak... like me!"
And really he makes a good point. I mean both are vigilantes that are doing things that society looks down upon, but why should the audience be so drawn to the Batman over Joker when essential they are freaks. Then he goes onto say they will cast him away as soon as he is unnecessary which is ultimatley true.
The main thing in Batman is good and evil is never clearly defined. I mean the Joker, insane as he was, is fighting for something similar to Batman. That is change in the society. Change in what’s the norm. Joker wants something a little more like anarchy while Batman wants something more society based. But both think the norm needs to change.
Joker presents a really good case to me. Present a little anarachy and upset the establishment. This is something I can sympathize with. He’s something that society doesn’t except for no apparent reason and has driven him to a sort of self aware madness. In essence he wants things to be upset simply for acceptance and importance.
Joker is a very dynamic character in that movie and really I liked his character a lot. Like he said he’s “like me”.

Of course he doesn’t want anarchy. But he uses it as a way to approach what he wants. It’s his difference between Batman. They are similar in almost everyway except Batman want’s to use a more standard way of changing things instead of completely pushing things to anarachy first. Batman kinda uses an above the law things while Joker just doesn’t follow them initiate change.
Prolly the biggest act from the Joker in the movie telling what he really wants is when he burns the money, that was one of the most meaningfull line even though there aren’t very many words to be said. Great scene!

Has anyone notice that he didn’t like to be called a freak?
I think he did. But he’s so sadistic he’ll react differently when it’s said. I mean he called himself a freak a lot. But I think he had somewhat of a superiorty complex. He didn’t like if a thug called him that because he felt they were lower than him. But becuase he felt so connected with Batman like they were very similar he would call himself a freak in front of him.

Exactly, great scene eh?
Yep. Here it is in its entirety. Means more with the last line haha:
” Why don’t we cut you up into little pieces and feed you to your pooches? Hmm? And then we’ll see how loyal a hungry dog really is. It’s not about money. It’s about sending a message. Everything burns."
