"Get away from me! I have AIDS!" WTF LAWL


The WTF rooted in this sad little tale has nothing to do with video games themselves, but that’s ok — the passing association with them is reason enough to tell the story. After all, the internet spends all day threatening to share the AIDS virus with one another, but it doesn’t quite sound the same as a real life threat. What are you going to do, wipe your crotch on me?

Perhaps that as the plan in Raul Rivera’s mind as he headed to Hollywood Video in Bethlehem last Monday, August 4th. Around 2 PM, he entered the video store and started to conceal Xbox games in his shirt. He apparently wasn’t overly interested in discretion, as the clerk easily noticed him and attempted to confront him.

Rivera reacted by pulling out an unidentified 5 inch black object and trying to stab the clerk with it, yelling " Get away from me! I have AIDS!" After his escape, police arrested him a few blocks away. He later told them he stole the games “to put food on the table." Rivera is currently in Northampton County Prison on $2,500 bail. Let’s hope he doesn’t decide to attack anyone with his AIDS while he’s there.
