Wrong. The concept of Ki in dragonball was based strictly off the concept of chi from Japanese culture. Toriyama has even said they can be considered one and the same. Chi and Ki are both the same energy that governs all life in the universe. The difference is, in Dragonball, they’ve learned to manifest that energy into physical form.



Which is PIS. It’s something that everybody knows the character is more than capable of, but it’s taken away in order to add on the story points.
