I get exactly what your saying but Dhaos has no real reason to hold back in this battle. Just like we assume Sephiroth isn’t holding back. Remember Dhaos was a merciless evil king to the rest of the world yet he wasn’t hostile exactly towards the heroes unless they picked the fight. In this they are both going at it with all they got.
