A black hole could kill an army to. Guess what Shadow escaped and at the distance he was at from the BH, would have made a planet crumble pretty fast too. Also what kind of armies? Human armies? Human armies can be crushed easily by those characters. Besides that Kratos has killed gods before, and so has Sparda, well he beat them at least.

the lightning is ordinary...mostly anyway...it will kill in one hit...but it can’t kill an army in one go...

The only comics I could think that they were from would be Saint Seiya, Marvel, or DC. But thats about all I know they could be from.
