I’m kindive tired of people bumping old ass threads that are monthes old and nobody has talked in them since. Don’t you guys think after a certian time they should be automatically locked or deleted after so long of inactivity? It would make things alot better eh?

And, if mods could unlock threads, they could be bumped if there’s a good reason after they’re locked.

Yes, especially when most threads deal with the same characters over and over again.

Yes. That would be okay as long as there is a good reason. I mean in a Goku vs Naruto thread, I don’t want after 5 months of no debate for their to be someone who comes in and says “Naruto has the nin tailed fox and pwns Goku!!!!"

I think it’s a good idea. If a thread is very old and it was locked, people could simply create a new thread on the same topic instead of reviving an outdated one.

But in some cases, there’s no need to do so when a certain topic has already been concluded before it was locked.

Oh definitely, especially in the case of the “VS” debates. I was thinking more along the lines of discussions of a religious, political nature or other topics that would lend themselves to being continued.

The purpose of a forum is so users can contribute their thoughts and feelings on a certain topic. Should a user revive an old topic with relevant matter, I see no reason why it should be restricted.

It’s hardly ever very contribitive from what I’ve seen. Sure their might be a couple times but, eh most of the time it’s either trolling some other’s opinions, idiocy(Like a vs forum example would be over the top fanboyism.)

We should NOT have people randomly bring up old topics with no good reason(As in not a very contributive responce)

And it’s usually threads that involve the same characters that keep getting bumped up, or in other sections, it’s usually threads like [Insert topic name here] sucks.

Or MAYBE...And here is a good compromise the TC can set a date on how long the thread can last and he or she could change this. Like, it locks after so long. Like someone choses 1 week, thats how long thread lasts.

That depends, what if TC is a guest, who possibly won’t show up if said thread is bumped?

Hmmm...Well what if it’s just an option for members? Like voting on the polls. This is the way I see it.

It starts out with the length being no time limit, then there is week, month, year. Maybe stuff in between...Doesn’t matter. But yeah making it member excluvive like polls I guess.
