1.) If your image is posted without your name on it people can steal your work.

2.) Some people ask other people on the forum to make renders for them because they cant, how is that going to happen with the new rules...

1) The best way to stop people from stealing your work is to save the original PSD file. If someone says they made a sig you really made, the PSD file can prove it.

2) There are pleanty of renders of just about everything imaginable on the internet that can be found via a simple search. If not, there are just as many tutorials on how to make a render.

I’ll second that:

1) people can steal sigs even if it does have your name in it...the issue is if they claim it’s their’s (as addressed by Atresac) Also, really, I don’t imagine it would be that difficult to erase someones name in a sig.

2)This is the competition where people are supposed to be doing things for themselves...that’s the point. People can get help with non-competition sigs and so can continue to improve for competitions if they want.

I was just stating my opinion, not my fault if I am the only one that thinks that. There are not as many renders for the images one may wont as you may think..
People on here already know other peoples sig styles and will continue to vote for that person because they can tell by the person sig style, like yours, treeplanter.
In my opinion, less people will enter the competition, and less people will vote, but that is just my two cents.

Well this is a trial of this new method. No saying it’s going to stay.

Yes, people can still vote for an easily-identified style, but just as easily people can mimic another’s style without anyone else knowing.

However, this new spin is by no means perfect, and we (being myself and Cid) hope that even though it’s fairly easy to bypass this new anonymity, people will go with the flow and play the game to actually be honest about what sig they find to be the best.

I’ll probably do this for another week or two after this (2-3 weeks in total) to see if the entries are less than what they have been.
