Tian Guest | True, they havent said much would be nice to see what it looks like, seen some of the prototypes for PS3 years back in Playstation mag, there was a round cd player types one, looked bit ugly. beside i know the xbox doesnt loo amazing but professional under the tv, but it feels like a man, whilst PS2 feels like a fragile bit o plastic

Kaeo Guest | I got the new crystal X-Box, and now im a PS2 and XBOX fan. The thing is really good! So all of the PS2 owners who critizize the XBOX like I used to why dont you actually play one sometime, they actually are quite good! Amazing sound and graphics.
XBOX has more power than PS2 but that dosent make it THAT much better, just a bit.

PS3 cell chip is pushing the boundries of any chip anywhere. It is a collaboration of 3 of the larger electronics companies out there (IBM, Sony and Toshiba) and it has some serious advantages over other chips, even the likes of AMD and Intel will have a hard time since it is possible to link up as many chips as you like and they will behave as one. (a single cell processor has 8 'cores' wereas amd and intel are only just introducing 2)
prices?, they will be kept down due to this:
“The Cell processor will be at the core of Sony’s soon-to-be-announced PlayStation 3 console system, and the chip will also find its way into several different applications that range from workstations to television sets”
the only problem is the amount of heat produced - even though there is a ventilation system in the chip, but this can be solved just by taking the frquency down from its probably overkill number of 4ghz. OCing anyone?
all this and the Xbox is left with a nameless “IBM Chip”, lets hope for microsofts sake that nvidia have some serious tricks up their sleeve because ati is only just coming into their own driver-wise
so on the PS3 vs Xbox 2, i vote PS3

uh huh, sure dude. read above and add to that microsoft is still more software orientated whereas sony is Everywhere in electronic products, i suspect they have just as much financial power as micro$oft when it comes to their budgets -bill gates gave most of his money away - and his money DOES NOT = microsofts money because he does not fund them. so facts please. plus caps doesnt make you cool.
The reason xbox has been winning on the games side is it is eaier to program for, the cell may well change that and own the better graphics and games you shout about GT4 seems to be living up to my expectations anyway woohoo!

look at psp, it owns nintendo ds for looks, ps2 small is too small even to care what it looks like - since it doesnt dominate your lounge like an xbox - it looks neat anyway though

I’ve played both games, and they are pretty different (GTA: SA and H2). so whoever likes fps games, get halo/halo2. whoever likes gang games or games that are super long and let you wander around freely without worrying about the mission, get GTA: SA. PS3 and Xbox2 aren’t even out yet. WAIT AND SEE! I’LL TRY TO GET BOTH. maybe you should too. those fanboys of each system should shut up and actually try the games on each system. for example, try ratchet and clank: up your arsenal on ps2. REAL good game. and try Gotham racing on Xbox. other REAL good game. I’m done.
