You should branch out with the brushes, like I did. I tried to make Ice Cube blend in with my sig. I blurred him in a bit.

I just used the blur brush and blurred around his shirt, not trying to mess it up.

I shall try this with a sig in the future

It’s alright. Vector style is a very artsy style to deal with. One piece of advice though, vector sigs tend to look better when they have a flow.

As you can see, most of the prominent lines in mine go in the same direction.

Same seen here. It makes everything look better when it’s following a certain flow. You know wha I mean?

Check out my PS Resources thread in arts/creativity. I’ve included a ZIP of my favorite brush packs. And included is one that says something like, 378 Abstract Brushes. Well, those are actually vector brushes. And very nice ones at that.

To eleborate, the colours are very vibrant and quite jarring. The background of the sig lacks flow, so the eyes are not attracted to any particular part to another amd the the background is also poorly designed and sparce. The render or Obiwan for the lack of tech speak is not blended at all and seems just tacked on and doesn’t match the colors of the background. It appears to be a bunc of random elements just thrown together and as such it looks shit.

Now I appolagise if this seems like I am ragging on you. I don’t wish it to be percieved hat way, but I feel that if I was to lie to you and say it looked ok it would not allow you to access and grow as an artist and continue producing graphic art which just didn’t work and gel together right.

I tel you the truth to hopefully aid ou in getting better and don’t wish to discourage you. We learn form our mistakes. Its how we get better.

grin

Keep trying mate ok.

Good job then. You forgot to mention that real people seldom go well with vector style sigs though. It’s usually the less detailed pics, like cartoons and anime, paintings, ect, that go well with the style. From my experience with vector. Less is often more.

This has to be one of my favorite vector creations thus far. Look and learn young padawan. (to musicdude)
