i admit halo 2 could have been so much better and the previews ARE different and they looked WAY better!! its not a bad game but short campaign with a naff ending i think.

Halo 2 is for panzies who wear lipstick, panties and pee is a squatting position. Though the storyline in halo 2 is better in singleplayer, singleplayer does not offer the play-it-again, over and over kind of fun that halo 1 offers. Seriously...I beat halo 2 on heoric a week after I got it, and never wanted to play it again. In fact, I have beaten halo 1 on legendary a couple of times since I last played Halo 2 single player.

The only weapon that is fun to use and is satisfying in halo 2 is the brute shot, mainly because it’s a terrible weapon, so killing someone with it has a psychological reward. There is no precision and accuracy in halo 2, sniping takes little-to-no skill. The 5x zoom in comparison to the 2x zoom was a terrible idea. The weapon respawn makes the games go one-sided (sniper rifles and shot guns dont respawn until they are dropped).
The lock-on rocket launcher feature in halo 2 throws away all accuracy, and skill required to use a rocket launcher. Not only is this a feature a women would want, I will assert this feature is for baby’s who can’t aim well and/or lead. Many times this has messed me up when trying to shoot a vehicle.
Grenades are worthless in halo 2. In halo 1, throwing a grenade right before immenent death was alomst guaranteed a kill, if you had your opponents' shields down, double kills and triple kills were easy, fun, and very satisfying with grenades. To accomplish the feat of a double kill with a grenade is nearly impossible in halo 2, nevermind a triple kill.
In halo 2, it’s generally a race for who can get the best weapon to spray the most bullets, whereas in halo 1, it’s generally a situation of who is better, and more accurate with the pistol. Which separates skilled players verses unskilled.
Jeeps (warthogs) suck in halo 2, they dont have the same feel when taking corners, and of course they are destructable, which is certainly more realistic, but it’t not as fun.
CTF is what halo 1 is all about — and not the one-flag crap. CTF 4-on-4 (which I have played a game lasting 3 hours on sidewinder) never gets boring, where after about 6 rounds of 1 flag CTF, I am ready quit. Multiflag CTF in halo 2 sucks, because there are no worthy maps with semetrical bases. Midship, and waterworks are the only two semestric maps, and they arent even that good.

Need I say more? Look at the comparison...10’s for everything related to halo 1. Nothing better than a 5 for everything related to halo 2. In fact as I recall, halo 2 got -10 for score under the humping category! Humping looks retarded in halo 2, you cant even do it. To give halo 2 3 stars is to overate the game. I give it two at most.
The unfortunate catastrophe is that most of the people I play halo with prefer to play halo 2 than halo 1. Those of you who are like my friends, I advise you to get some respect for youselves, put on some boxers, grow some chest hair, and stop menstrating.
Halo 1 separates the girls from the men.

Halo 2, or should I say “lets put on makeup, and then tell ourselves we need to loose weight because we look fat” is an abomination.
Bungie studios should re-release halo 2, spend sometime making changes — bring back everything in halo 1, maps, weapons, vehicles, the mulitplayer narrator voice tones, humping and the whole game interface, keep the medals idea (that was the one good idea they had for halo 2), add some new maps, and of course make it playable on xbox live.
Then, and only then will halo 2 be a worthy substitute for halo 1.

Nate’s right. The only thing about Halo 1 that should be changed is to make it playable on Xbox Live. The only reason anybody should be upset about the pistol in H1 is because they can’t use it and always get killed by it. Everything the anonymous tipster said (in the retarded fashion he said it) is completely wrong or counterintuitive to his “argument." I couldn’t really tell, but I assume he’s one of those 8 year olds who plays H2 live and pisses everyone off because he can’t stop screaming in his prepubescent voice about how he pwnzord everyone. Well...In short, IF you have ACTUALLY played Halo 1, you would notice how the changes in halo 2 were a bad idea. My suggestion to you is to start trying in school (I was expecting you to be around the age of 10 given your spelling and grammar), so you have some chances at getting into college. Once you are in college, start playing network halo 1 on a nightly basis, and see how amazing it really is. Once you START playing multiplayer for its full glory, you will see that it is 10 times the game halo 2 is, and you will realize that masterchief from halo 1 would tool masterchief from halo 2

ok...you have played halo 1 on single player. That is fine. Is your primary halo 1 experience single player or multiplayer? Those of us whose primary halo experience is multiplayer know full well that halo 2 multiplier is nothing compared to halo 1 multiplayer.

We will see in the near future, how the halo 2 pro competitions (if there are any) measure up to the halo 1 pro competions. Perhaps that will be reason enough to show the uneducated populace — who think halo 2 is better than halo 1 — what is up.

P.P.S. there is nothing wrong with flipping burgers — if that is what one has to do to get by. I have never had to work in a fast food restraunt before to pay for my books, or anything else I wanted. You people have to admit (my spelling sucks and i don’t want to hear it) to some of eachother’s points.

The assult rifle is stronger than smg,but smg can duel wield for cool combos. The plasma rifle doesn’t freeze any one (thank god)
The warthog is pretty much the same but it is funner while being indestructable.
The graphics got better (somewhat)
The person with the rocket laucher doesn’t always win because if you were within 15 ft of it you were dead. Gernades did get weaker while plasmas are still one stick one kill(so there is no point to frags)
The sniper is the same
I wish they kept the old maps also I loved prisoner, chill out, hang em high, and sidewinder

Moving along:

In my opinion, I really do like Halo 2, there are just some features about it that I don’t particularly like.

For the most part, the weapons in Halo 2 are easier to kill with. (I say almost because it takes many more pistol whips to kill someone as opposed to that in Halo) Now just because it’s easier to kill with a weapon does not make it better.

The Energy Sword and Rocket Launchers vehicle homing feature take all the work out of fighting. This means that you aren’t the one getting the blade or rocket there, it just kind of guides itself and that means that you aren’t the one doing it. Artificial skill does not make you a better combatant. These features are a crutch for people who can’t operate a Pistol or Battle Rifle.

This goes the same for the Banshee. If you can fly all around and gun down people and then speed away, doing little flips so their rockets can’t touch you...you’re using another crutch.

I like the fact that you can give your Spartan a custom logo, but everything is too shiny. I liked the armor from Halo 1 because it looked slightly more dull like it had been in battle.

Halo 2 doesn’t suck and just because someone doesn’t like it doesn’t mean that they should die for their opinion. There’s no need to get your panties all up in a bunch because someone might *gasp* not think the exact same thing you do.

As for those of you who say it’s a good game because E3 said whatever about it: I have more respect for someone who hates a game I think is good because he didn’t like it than someone who likes any game because someone else said it was good.
