That’s not entirely true. In my early twenties I drank a lot, like '15-plus-beers-every-night- a lot and I ate like no other and could not gain a damn think so age also has to do with metabolism. Now I could get fat soo easily if slack off for one day. But yeah, my diet sucks full of alcohol and fat which I need to change soon. It’s just an eating habit I’ve carried over from when I was younger and now it’s getting the best of me unless I work my ass off every day to fight it.
But this guy has some good points I may consider trying... Specifically, no fatty foods.

It matters what kind of fat and how much you are eating it. I eat alot of nuts, although they are high in fats. But they are good fats that contain alot of dietary fibre, High levels of mono-unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, Vitamins E, B6, niacin and folic acid. Nuts are also high in Amino acid and have no cholesterol. But if you eat to much/many nuts then you are overdoing it which is a overload of fat.
You can eat a Mcdonald’s Big Mac once in a blue moon, aslong as the rest of your diet doesnt inclues grease, grease and grease. So yea 'eat' in moderation. --- ““Do or do not... there is no try.”." -Yoda

Yes I think that metabolism, body type, etc. really do play a factor. Some people can do “everything right” and still have weight problems. Then some people are like a guy I know who likes his beer, eats only unhealthy stuff, doesn’t exercise....and is still slim. (No fair I tell you). ---

strychnine in the guacamole Rep: 47 Joined: 06 Jan 2006 Posts: 16,058 OFFLINE | Well, I can tell you this. I went from what REALITY was saying as an Ectomorph (scrawny, cut, and consumed calories like no other) to a Mesomorph at about the age of 26. It just hit me all of a sudden. If I don’t work out every day, I’d be a fat-ass with the diet I choose to continue on. I know, there was a time I was flab and fat without any muscle at 27 which seamed to happen overnight. I continued on my regular fat diet but I started working out and it transformed my body over time. But I really need to cut down on the calories to hit that lower percentage of fat. Just like Cid, I think if he worked hard enough and watched his diet, fuck, he could get into the Navy. I’m not trying to make fun of Cid’s weight, I’m just trying to help him. ---

Not sure if you know this Xtrm, but some people can’t exactly “loose” their weight. The range in your body fat and muscle is limited because of genetics. Example, some people have a tall and skinny body build that is genetic. They won’t be able to build muscle as easily, if at all, as the genetic body of say... a body builder. Even WITH steroids.
Bullshit!
I’ve seen my body fluctuate over the years so there’s no excuse for body type and genetics. I’ve seen many people completely change their body with a little effort each day. ---

You have a quite abit of muscle on you Josh.. you should be cutting down 20-30 pounds. In which you would then look pretty sick. --- ““Do or do not... there is no try.”." -Yoda
