ya, i watched my friend play it recently, and he never used him, so his name escaped me... i just started a file on a copy my friend let me borrow...i just got to the mushroom kingdom

The reason why Mario RPG feels like/and is the best is because...
Best Gameplay. 3 people per party.
PM64 had 2, and your partners could never be killed. TTYD improved a little, but still was meh.

I didn’t like the feel of RPG. It was too similar to Final Fantasy, I guess. In PM, it made Mario the focus of the party, and kinda felt less like a Final Fantasy clone. Badges are fun.

The poll never specifies which ASPECT of Paper Mario was the best.
Either that, or some people might just prefer the classic Mario style of gameplay.
