Scarecrow & The Joker (Batman) vs. Light/Raito & L (Death Note)

Rules of Engagement:
1. Raito/Light and L are those respective characters at the time that they were at school together.
2. L has access to police backup (think backup that Commissioner Gordon may have)
3. Raito/Light has two Death Notes but not Risa’s ability to see the names.
4. Scarecrow and Joker both have henchmen around half of L’s force.
5. Scarecrow and Joker have access to Laughing Gas as well as the Nightmare Inducing Gas (you know, Scarecrow’s one, was never sure of the name).
6. The battle is terrorist, anti-terrorist in nature, set in London.
7. To win Joker AND Scarecrow must die or be arrested. OR L and Light must die.
8. No calling in backup from Gotham , no case files of the Joker or Crane are available.

Right, I think this is in favour of the villains. Why? No one knows Joker’s name, not even him and since Police haven’t been able to take them down on their own in a while, unlikely that L will win. Light useless in case of Joker without Shingami eyes which in this case he doesn’t have.

Well, the thing is L and Light never trust one another and they both have different point views of working. Not to go off topic but Zangetsu from Bleach once said “2 people that go into battle and they don’t trust one another will just damage each other’s strength. Joker and Scarecrow will have a much better chance working together as evident of all the shows I watched, they really work well together at some points in the show. And as much as a Death Note fanboy I am, Joker and Scarecrow might take this one since even they themselves individually are able to fight evenly with a super detective such as Batman. L and Light might win if they put aside their differences and know each other’s strength and weaknesses, their chances of victory might be 90%.

Well since they don’t have the Shinigami eyes the Joker can’t be killed by the Death Note, and the their logic won’t work with some one as illogical as the Joker. Then you have the Joker Gas and Fear Toxin respectfully. And if Gothem PD can’t take down the Joker neither can the Japanese
