Defo big announcements. I mean doing it right before TGS haha and they understand how bad E3 was. Trust me companies see that stuff.
Will it be the announcements ya think? Well multiple magazines are confirming a new DS model will be shown off. Most are saying Fatal Frame IV, Disaster, Wii Music, and Animal Crossing: City Folk will be shown off along with other DS games. I think though most are hinting that a new Wii game will be announced... some rumoring it to be a revitalizing of an existing franchise. But that is the big rumor.
So yea it’s goign to be big but who knows how big. Will start hearing details either late tonight or early tomorrow considering it’s already the 2nd in Japan.
Um in a week I believe. Oct 9-12th I believe. Ninty won’t be there which is why they are having this conference. Also won’t be at E for All which is why they are doing one in America as well. This is why if there are any announcements they are going to make for the end of the year or for 2009 it’ll happen here.

Yeah, I heard about the new DS (no official word yet) with camera and music playback, but it didn’t seem like a Nintendo move, seemed more like a Sony move. It seems like Nintendo would do something that would make the game completely different (like how they implemented motion control in Wii, and touch screen in DS).
The new model will include a built in camera, support for SD cards, music playback capabilities, and improved Wi-Fi support. The system’s screens will also be bigger.

But it’s not the same thing as “OMG! Touch screens, that’s gonna be so awesome for games” thrill I got with the DS
