Uh, yes I did. Rai is simply not faster than Aang. Aang does not have normal speed- he uses airbending to enhance it. He can jump and dart around just as much as Rai.

If you’ve seen every episode, then you’ll remember how Aang ran on water (without waterbending) in “The Warriors of Kyoshi”. Or how he blazed cross-country in “The Blue Spirit”. Or how he darted between Zuko and Azula in “The Chase”. I could go on and on.

Just watched it... that is fast, but there were no after-images. It’s comparable to Aang, but not definitely better. I’ll come back with a good video of Aang later.

Yes, I did. I got confused on what “afterimages” are. Too bad that was a 3-second clip, Rai never shows that speed elsewhere, and he wasn’t really going fast enough to cause after-images.
In fact, I don’t think afterimages should ever occur. When something is going fast in the real world, do you ever see blurs behind them? Afterimages are just as much of an animation trick as visible wind is. It doesn’t prove anything.
Rai is fast, yes. Aang is fast too. And yes, running on water IS impressive. Can you run on water? No. However, if something is going superhumanly fast, it can get off water before its weight takes affect and avoid sinking. Same concept as a skipping stone.
Ways Aang can defeat Raimundo:
1. Grab Rai’s head and chest to strip away his xiaolin power.
2. Flash-freeze Rai with ice breath.
3. Drop a rock on Rai.
4. Pound Rai with a rock glove.
5. Use the Avatar State for ultimate pwnage.

If both are in character, they would quickly realize that they are both good guys and would stop fighting.
If they are forced to fight, then there is nothing holding Aang back from doing what he must to win.
I know you disallowed the AS, I just chose to put it on the list regardless. Outside your rule, it is still a valid statement, and artificially invalidating it doesn’t make the other methods any less valid.
And don’t question me on knowledge of Aang. I own every single Avatar DVD and it happens to be my favorite television show.
