well I know I’ve used the word fag and retard a lot on this forum, and although I’m not trying to defend some of the despicable ways that I’ve used them I think the simple fact that I am able to use them is what makes a forum so great. People don’t want to have an educated discussion about a specific topic, they want to get down and dirty and throw insults and degrade the other person because it’s fun to everyone. A forum like this one lets you do stuff you can’t do in everyday life. I can’t go up to someone on the street ask their opinion about something and then say “shut up you retard." Even though I sometimes would like to. If I offend anyone with my comments just let me know and I’ll stop. One more thing calling someone a fag or a retard is only like calling someone a n — - when that person is truly gay or mentally handicap. In todays society the words fag, gay, and retard get trown around as much as any others and when people use the word fag most of the time it has just as much weight as calling someone stupid. N — - is completely different because we don’t use these words everyday (unless you’re black) and when we say it the general impression is that we mean as more than just a passing comment.
