the greatest show Guest | I’m reading through these pages and let me tell you, I can’t help but laugh! Some of the stupid idiots around here keeping praising something that hasn’t even come out yet! Even more, some of the people here are shouting stupid and irrelevant remarks and can’t even type right. This right here is better than any comedy show I have ever witnessed, with its grade school behavior and biased answers. The worst of all was the idiot named big mom “It least it was made in the USA” remark, now I know you’re in grade school. Cuz anyone with 16 year old mind knows that most likely nothing is made in the US anymore, your x-box is made in china not US. Every piece of clothing you have is made overseas, your Cds, your TV, your computer, nearly everything. The person who typed down that the xbox 360 will have 3 cpu at 3.0 and is a total of 9.0 is more dumb witted than the first guy! Here some news for you buddy, just because it will have 3 powerpc cores doesn’t mean that it will have 3x the power. It won’t be able to handle it, and even if you don’t believe it I could counter by saying that the cell chip is 9 processors running at once with power of 3.5 each. With all this “xbox this” “ps3 that” I really woudln’t care who wins in the end, but its probably going to be sony cuz it dealt with this kind of shit before.

What IGN said about the 3 PowerPc cores is not true, they don’t equal up to 9 ghz. 3.0ghz X 3CPUs= 3GHZ, I can’t believe IGN set out false info, I should set out a lawsuit of false advertisment. It’s processor with 3 cores.

according to g4 and cnet people, Xbox2 is inferior to PS3.
PS3 has more powerful processor called the “Cell” designed by “IBM” and “Toshiba” which is 200x faster than Xbox2 processor.
My cousin works for Microsoft. he went to seattle to attend a meeting regarding on their Xbox2 launch. He admits PS3 is extremely powerful and and far superior.
Sony made a good decision by teaming up with IBM and Toshiba

johnson Guest | i stand by my word, GAYSTATION. my cousin’s brother works for microsoft on the xbox2 project. he won’t even relay information to me or my cousin, that’s how secretive it is. they read these forums and news articles about these so called “LEAKS” lol and have a good laugh cause you shmucks know shit. granted ps3 will probably be a good gaming console but you can’t compare when you have nothing to compare it to. judging from ps2 who’s graphics were brutal and load times were forever, i can almost assure you that xbox2 will outshine ps3. but once again no factual information about xbox2 has been released.

mo Guest | CPU speed dont make much difference, its the GPU thats really behind the graphics, the XBOX 360 and PS3 GPU is pretty similar, what did you think Sony had some alien technology hundreds of years ahead of its time??? please! try running Doom 3 or Far Cry on a 3.6Ghz (CPU) machine and a shit graphics card (GPU) and see how far you get, but on like a 1.2Ghz with a top of the line Radeon/GeForce you’ll be running it real smooth.
So PS3 having a faster CPU dont mean much
There maybe a difference but with next generation machines putting out ridiculous polygon counts you wont be able to tell,
and anyway like you PS2 fanboys keep saying the graphics dont matter! hippocrite bastards!

I started out with a Nintendo 8 bit worked my way up to a PC with a few other stops on the way.Now Im coming back home. 360 indeed.
As a PC gamer I always bought the best middle of the road machine i could afford (ok upper middle of the road) but not the super high end (Too$$$) when in 3 years its gonna be replaced. This same logic is being applied to the next gen..Sony with its PS3 is going cutting edge add expence and delays..blueray been pulled for a re-tool..merging the two versions. ect . I dont believe that Sony will meet demand or price point. Microsoft with its off the self parts that its building the xbox360 with will deliver more than just promises. It will deliver fun that i can afford...they are gonna get em on price point and its gonna kill em.

NotAFanboiJustHonest Guest | PS2 could not even keep up XBOX in terms of graphics/processing hardware. Look in most magazine reviews of PS2/XBOX games. You’ll see blah blah, the XBOX is sharper the XBOX this/that...Case in point Splinter Cell Chaos Theory....it doesnt hold a candle to XBOX’s graphics.
Now, lets talk about the new systems a forget about the old. XBOX will use 3 processors running at 3.2 Ghz each with a state of the art GPU by ATI.
Sony will have the Cell processor. Mark my words “The winner will be decided by multimedia convergence." Which ever one does this better will win.
In the end, I will own both systems and be happy. Just be glad there is a M$ and SONY to offer competition and help drive the market.
BTW, I own 2 PS2’s, 1 xbox, 1 GameCube, 3 PC’s, 1 laptop, 1 iMac...I use XP Professional, OS X Tiger, and Fedora Core 3. There is no room in my life to be a fanboy or fanboi..whatever...go get entertained thats what this is about right?

mo Guest | i think that graphically xbox and gamecube were held back a bit by the PS2 because multiformat games had to be written to work on the weakest console first, and the other consoles just got sharper images, or better framerates, or better textures and no extra polygons(eg burnout 3, or prince of persia)
Thank god Ubisoft did it the other way around, and made the best posible game on the xbox and then adapted it for the PS2
I hope there is an even playing field this time so that we get the most out of our games in terms of graphics.
and for every gamers sake i hope that none of the three contenders fail badly enough to exit from the console industry because that would be the biggest loss of all (RIP: SEGA)

1)Uninstall Windows from your computer and return it, install Linux or Mac OS
2) Remove any Direct X version you have
3) Do not use Hotmail
4) Do not use MS Office for any work
You can stick with sony for all I care, but dont bash microsoft if you use 20 other products from them.
