Hard to call because we dont know how many pirates are out there and if the pirates get phazon and establish a base there they could make omega pirates and stuff but the covenantdo have a great number. what would be cool is who could thake over earth faster( if thats a stupid question say so but dont blame me im just really bored)
space pirates, because the covenant would never beat the beam pirates because they dont have the beams that would beat the beam pirates and the space pirates have more tec than the covenant. like ridly would tare there heads off and feast on there bodys.
the covenant. they would (and this is probley already said) glass the planet with out much struggle. if there “holy relices” are on the planet then the piretes might have a chance. but with brutes, elites, hunters piretes are screwed
when it comes down to who would win a battle between space pirates and covenant, it would be a tie. The metroid prime developers have not even scratched the core of genius space pirates posses. Space pirates update their technology to make themselves impervious to enemies weapons by using phazin technology. When asking about the invisible crap u guys talk about, i sugest u first play metroid prime and you will find that space pirates have developed the same technology. IIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFF! the space pirates had enough time to update their weapons to make plansma unable to touch them, space pirates would win. I am not even going to get Ridley and Kraid in, because they would probably eat half of the entire armada. Space pirates are tactical and spies. they could covertly take out most covenant without them noticing.
On the other side, covenantt are stronger, nastier and more of assaulters. Too bad i am just talking about elites and hunters (not brutes because they left their side) because all the other covenant are just a freaggin elite left nut. A grunt wouldn’t even be enough for wiping a space pirates ass.
I think it would come down to where are they fighting. If surrounded by radioactive sources of energy, space pirates would win. if in planet with no radioactive resources, it would eb pretty hard for them to win. I feel sorry for the pirate that tries to kill an elite without using stealth. (no stealth mean impossible to beat).
It is all in location
first covenent would win... until the developers of metroid tell us about the spaceship capabilities of the pirate’s or federation then the covenent could simply vaporize a planet...
now if your talking about warrior vs warrior the space pirates are in a league of their own...
they have guys who can cloak indefintely giant phazon infused monsters with energy barriers and huge cannons... and special troopers who have armor that can’t be penetrated by anything but specfic weapon systems... and let’s not forget the commandos who could render an entire group of elite’s shields useless with one emp and then smack them around afterwards...
however the simple fact that the covenent have a huge fleet gives them the advantage... since they never talk about fleet to fleet battles in metroid... the largest ship I have seen is the GF ship in MP2

i go for the covenant.they could just fire halo, and wipe out everything.end of story.
They have never been able to use HALO yet...I think...
Didn’t Halo get a shot off at the end of Halo 2? It’s been awhile but I think it did. However I also believe multiple Halo’s have to fire before the weapon is affective and it’s the end of all living organisms down to the microscopic level with a radius of a hundred billion lightyears or something like that.
Anyhow, space pirates don’t have a chance against the shear number of Elites, Hunters and brutes. And if the Flood somehow manages to follow through infected Covenant, then Guilty Spark and his army of machines will follow as well (I don’t mean Halo 1’s army of machines either).
But then again, the Flood would just slow down the Covenant. That’s what I love about Halo is the multiple battles going on with the enemies fighting enemies. Even the Covenant have their own inside battle and betrayal with the Brutes and the Elites fighting each other. That would be one hell of a battle if Covenant, Space Pirates, the Flood, and the machines were to all go at it.

yes..that would be one hell of a battle..
Don’t forget Metroids, Tallon Metroids, Hunter Metroids...I think those are all the types the Pirates got control of...
And when HALO fires, what happens exactly? Does it just send out a wave of doom or something?

Actually I just replayed the last two levels of Halo 2 last night because all this talk of Halo got me exited to play it again. But yes I was right, one of the Halo’s did fire a shot at the end of Halo 2. However, it was only a beacon to activate the other Halo’s. Once all the Halo’s are activated, the real shot can only be initiated through one Forerunner location with remote access to the rest of the Halo’s... Which from the looks of the Halo 3 preview, that Forerunner location is on Earth underground. Luckily MC stole a Covenant ship and was headed back to Earth at the end of Halo 2.
If you remember the last words in Halo 2 from the Sargent, he asked MC what the hell is he doing in that Covenant ship? MC replied, “Sir, just finishing this fight!" as he approached the Earths atmosphere. So Halo 3 picks up right where H2 left off.
Weeman, If the Halo rings fire, that means the end of all living organisms on a galactic scale. It’s not a blast that would kill you instantly. It kills our food, or vegetation more or less for ten-thousand years. Without that we can’t survive, nothing can. Halo was designed as a safety protocol in case the Flood infection was to get out of hand.
