Yes, and it would take a long time to kill a Covie, and the Master Chief especially.
I could survive a shot or two from the power beam.

Rummage through it and you will have your proof.
I have posted the same thing so many times in the past, Im not doing it again.
Anyway, it proves that about 25 P.beam shots would kill MC, that a charged P.beam show would nearly kill MC, proof that many of Samus' weapons would kill MC with 1-5 shots, depending on the weapon, and some otherthings, maybe...
Very well...*sigh*
When MC is hit by a Warthog, he dies instantly.
Probably the closest thing to being rammed by a warthog in prime is being rammed by a Sheegoth, due to size. But I am not sure if it has a ram attack. Next time I play prime, I will look into it, and update this if need be.
ANYWAY, I will be nice and use Metroid Prime’s first form’s ram, even though MP is several times larger than a warthog. MP’s ram does 25 points of damage to Samus.
Now since we are assuming that damage wise Warthog ~= MP(even though Prime would logicaly do more damage), we can assume that MC’s sheild and health bar combined is about the same as what would be 25 points of energy to Samus. Since powerbeam does 1 point of damage(6 in hunters), and we know that MC’s health and sheilds combined is about 25 points of damage, it would take about 25 hits(5 in hunters) to kill MC. A charged shout, however would require just one, followed by about 5 power shots.

I thoght you said 2.5 power beam shots... But it would still be more, because as I said, MC is extremely underpowered in the games.
Or, considering the books were after the games, overpowered in the books. My philosophy is “In times of contradiction, canon is the one that came first."
Not really. If someone makes an action movie, and then they write a book with the full story of the movie in it (which the movie was lacking) and things were different in the two, which would you believe?

You are a complete idiot if you think that... one shot from her power beam is as strong if not stronger than a few shots from the plasma rifle...
haha. A few shots from a plasma rifle would burn a hole through you. A shot or two from the power beam can’t get through an insects carapace, much less kill it, not even stun it.
then neither could the plasma rifle... not my fault that a little insects carapace is stronger than the armor used in halo... just goes to show how weak those weapons really are...

insect carapace... not necessarily equals bone... besides some of the insects in Samus world can resist electric shocks ice and some even missiles... they are tougher than normal... just because her weapons don’t kill bugs with one shot doesn’t mean that they are weak... it means that the bug has a strong defense... don’t forget she can defeat a giant robot and a bunch of tougher enemies that the chiefs weapons wouldn’t even scratch so don’t tell me that her weapons are weaker than the ones in halo... not for a second would I ever believe that...

Considering the Power Beam has the capability to destroy some of the best-defended crates out there, yup, its certainly a beast. Oh, and most creatures in Metroid Prime die fast from the Power Beam. Shoot, most in 1-3 shots, only more if the damn thing is very strong. Most of the animals on the planet are immune to anything but higher powered blasts.
Still, all she needs is the Plasma Beam.
BTW, carapace can be natural animal shells or a dorsal exoskeleton.
Question, what does Samus' Power Beam have to do with Space Pirates vs. Covenant?
