ahem, Naryu’s Love makes Link invincible, the fire tunic makes him impervious to flames, and Link, with Orcarina of Time can control time, what can Cloud do against that?

Shield materia makes Cloud invincible. Elemental fire in armour makes him absorb flames. Time materia allows him to control time. So Link hasn’t really got anything over Cloud.
what about the fact that cloud attacks turn based but link can attack whenever he wants?

Cloud attacks whenever he wants in AC, not turn based. No-one ever said anything about it specifically being Cloud as he is in FF7.

Sheild doesn’t make Cloud invincible it decreases phisical damage, Time magic can stop an enemy, slow an enemy down, or speed Cloud up. The problem is for Cloud to use magic on Link Cloud would have to hit him with it, and let’s face it Link rolls too much to be hit, and yes if you get really technical Cloud has to wait to attack, Link could hit em 10 times before Cloud gets to attack once.

I seriously think that FF franchise is better than the Zelda franchise.
Therefore, coming to the obvious conclusion, Cloud will win.
Don’t matter if Cloud needs to take turns. One summon of KOTR will slash Link malaciously and Link will be in the hospital for years.

just because Cloud has materia doesn’t mean he can win, I’m just gonna keep stating it Naryu’s Love equals unkilliable Link and if Cloud was lucky enough to beat Link then bottle fairy’s link has four of them.
and Yes overall FF is better than Zelda but that doesn’t mean that Cloud can win.
Plus fairies bring him back to life and the hurricane spin

Cid Highwind clearly u kno nuffin if u think link’s bombs/swords skills narue’s love can stand up to cloud ur so pathectic...sword to sword link would get own he has no sword skills wat so ever.....can link fly ummmmm NO i dont think so....can he teleport ummmm NO he cant.....20 hearts compare to 9999hp.....link is so GARBAGE that he HAS to use all his weapons in order to win his battle’s but cloud u dont hav to use materia if u dont want to its totaly up to u....

Let’s see can link fly? no can cloud no, in AC he was not flying his friends were throwing him up into the air. As Link you do not have to use all of his extra weapons, you can go Sword only. BTW Cloud can’t teleport but Link can, Farore’s Wind, I’ve seen Advent Children, and I’ve played FF7 more times than almost anyone else, and I know for a fact that Cloud can’t move all that fast. Now from the game’s stand point, Naryu’s Love can block all attacks for a limited amount of time, no exceptions. Also In the World of Zelda, 20 hearts in equivalent to 9999 hp, you put Link in the FF world that’s how many hit points he would have, you put Cloud in Hyrule he’ll have 20 hearts. Oh and Sephiroth I’m not pathetic, But I will not stoop so low as to call you pathetic, you seem to know your stuff, you just don’t know how to give credit where credit is due. Now although I do think Link would win, I’m won’t say that it will be easy, I think Cloud may beat Link down quite a bit, but in the end I believe Link would come victorious, and I think I may have posted too much.

If you take away everything else apart from just their swords. Eg no abilities, projectiles, materia, just sword on sword it has to be cloud. I don’t know all Link’s stuff so I dunno otherwise.

cid it seems u hav no knowledge about both link and cloud...because it seems to me ur goin by who u like better but i dont blame u that was me before ive been playin zelda from the first game that was created till now and ive been play ff7 since it came out and i still am now i do research on both characters and thats how i kno whos stronger from who aint...an apearantly thats what u need to do because it has nuffin to do with who has more weapons or who u like better.....straight up take away thier swords fight with fist or projectile like hmmmm said and we all no who will win.....or maybe take away link’s shield and fight sword to sword without it ofcourse link will lose...like i said before link is strong in his own ways and so is cloud but when u do research on both character’s CLOUD comes out the winner.....i understnad u like link better from ur previous post but like sephiroth said it has nuffin to do with dat....like i love link he’s the greatest and i never wanted to accept the fact that cloud was stronger but like i said do more reasearch and then u will kno

gotta agree with ya ff7 fan i did the same shit i mean Link is Awsome but it took me awhile before i could admit that cloud is superior but o well who give’s a shit anyway they aint goin to ever face eachother so why talk about who is stronger get what im saying link and cloud will never encounter or maybe they will but thiers no point in discussin who is stronger anyways unless u actually see then fight and see who wins....o and btw in the movie advent children cloud did fly after bahamut they were jus giving him a boost so he can catch up to bahamut faster....how do i kno?...i did research .

Link can teleport (using the windwaker) He can blockk attack with his shield and the mirrior shield would deflect other non-sword attacks, He has an energy rod that shoots out energy waves and is definently stronger (power braclets) the master sword is definently more manueverable then that big hunk of metal cloud carries !
