Cloud, had trouble in the fight with them in the forest, also he never dodged or blocked their bullets. In the movie he deflects the bullets with his sword one time, when he is on Fenir, but all he did was take the sword and put it in front of him as to shield himself, he didn’t actually move the weapon, also when they were firing at him when he wasn’t on the bike he wasn’t even trying to dodge them, they just had bad aim.

Now on to the problem with Link only slashing 3 times, in OoT yes, but OoT is an old game, in newer games (ie the windwaker) he can hit up to 5 or even 6 times in a combo, and we’ve yet to see what the twilight princess is going to bring to the table, also Link is slow, but once again only in the older games, in WindWaker his attacks were quickly executed.

His moves are powerful, ButI’m not positivly sure, I think the fire might be able to be deflected by the mirror shield.

totally agree with shining tears Cloud has way more skill with the sword than link and its not even his skill thats amazing its pretty obvious when u watch AC Cloud is just TOOOOOOO powerfull for link. Sword to Sword please although i do agree that link would hold his own for a bit but Cloud would still come out on top.Hurricane spin? against Omnislah? Thats the funniest shit i have heard in a long time. lmao

Ok I’m beggining to understand while link would win but it wouldn’t be a land slide but I do feel the hurricane spin could deflect the omnislash (and that would look awesome if you think about it)

Hey ARYAN SUPERIOR, you wanna know how old I am? 16 you know how old I have to be to work where I live? 17 so quit your bitching, and this is the only Topic that I post on these boards because the other stuff isn’t worth my time, in fact really this isn’t either, no offence to the people who are a part of these boards, the reason I post here is because I enjoy a good debate, it’s just the way I am, im fact I’m studying Law, to become a lawyer, so back off a little and think before you type something, at the risk of making yourself look stupid.

Now back to the topic at hand, Cloud may have deflected some bullets in AC, I haven’t seen it in a month or so, I may have forgotten, but the fact still remains that Link is still a good Swordsman, I can’t say that I’m 100 percent sure that Link would win, as I’m not, as stated previously I’m neutral now, both characters are very strong, of course we couldn’t decide who would win here on this forum, because people tend to side with who they like more, I think Link has the ability to win.

Warning Major Advent Children Spoilers ahead...

Yazoo, Kadaj, and Loz were tough oponents but think about it, the Turks beat up Yazoo and Loz a little, they did some damage, Tifa beat Loz up with the Beat Rush she used in AC, granted she didn’t hurt Loz at all, she was still able to handle him for a while. Also I’ll give you the whole Geostigma thing, that did slip my mind, Cloud was weakened in that fight, and he still held his own for a while, but you also have to look at it this way, had Vincent not jumped in they would have Killed Cloud, So that means that he couldn’t defeat them all right there, in fact he never beat them all, Reno and Rude blew up Yazoo and Loz on that Bridge and that didn’t even kill them, so what makes you think Cloud could have won? in the end it was Aerith who saved Cloud with the holy rain, but they still managed to shoot him in the back, well that’s enough about AC, given all this I think Link may have a chance against Cloud, you can’t count him out that quickly, of course we won’t know the true extent of Links abilities untill The Twilight Princes comes out.

Just wondering here, how long does a hurricane spin last? Because omnislahes take a long time to do fully, so Link might not be able to keep spinning throught the whole thing.

The Hurricane Spin can’t deflect the Omnislash, it’s too powerful, Link’s best chance would be to roll around behind Cloud like he does (very quickly might I add) in the windwaker.

Just a question, When does Cloud teleport? I’ve played FF7 over 100 times, seen AC 4 times, and watched Last Order, and he never does it. Is it in BC or something? or maybe Kingdom Hearts? (which doesn’t count because Disney had control over just about everything)

Also, when does Cloud defeat the real Sephiroth? I don’t recall him ever doing it, in AC it isn’t Sephiroth he fights, it’s essentially Sephiroth’s essence inside Kadaj’s body, you don’t believe me? Compare the fire flashback scene in AC to the Cloud Sephy fight scene at the end of AC, look at the faces, the Kadaj sephy’s face is wider, and the nose is bigger than the flashback sephiroth. Also in FF7 the only time you fight Sephiroth is in the Crater, but you don’t fight him, Bizzaro and Safer are just clones, Sephiroth is a human, he can’t morph into some weird looking creature, but he can control the way his clones look, the Sephiroth that you were chasing throughout the game was a clone, but he looked just like sephiroth did, the other clones looked nothing like him, in the final one on one fight between Cloud and Sephiroth, Sephiroth is just a memory in Cloud’s mind, I can say this because of one line said by the other Sephiroth in AC he said I will not be just a memory, now think about that, what could he have meant if that wasn’t it? Also Kadaj, Yazzo, and Loz were all clone too, they called Cloud their brother, Cloud was thought to have been a Sephiroth Clone, they called Jenova 'Mother' so they were clones, and as previously stated, Sephiroth can control the image of his clones.

Point is Cloud defeated all those different Sephy clones. You just want to ignore the fact that Cloud is 100 times more powerfull than Link. Roll behind Cloud? yeah right what the hell is a roll gunna do when Cloud moves so fast that he looks like he’s teleporting thats ridiculous Link rolling behind Cloud yea right. In AC Cloud was fighting nonstop without a break from the time he fought bahamut he never had a break he fought sin bahamut then he fought Loz and Yazoo right after then he fought Kadaj then he fought Sephiroth all one after the other. Compare Link to other weaker chars in his league not Final Fantasy chars.

Cloud only moved quickly during that one attack in AC, that was a limit break, Cloud would not be able to do that attack to Link because Cloud’s enemy has to be in the air, and as previuosly asked, can Link fly? With Link you can fight non-stop too, that isn’t special, so why you even broought that up is beyond me. Those Sephy clones wern’t anywhere as powerful as the real Sephiroth, Cloud couldn’t have beaten him, So much for Cloud right? he can’t even defeat his main Enemy, at least Link kicks Ganon’s butt everywhere.

Guys this is just pointless. We are only saying our favorite character would win. I mean if I joined in I would say Link cause he is my favorite character. This is just useless.

Oh and just to correct a few Cloud supporters stop denying Link of his strength, speed, and agility. He is one of the strongest and fastest characters in gaming. So don’t deny that. We don’t deny Cloud all the time like yall do.

Sakura, I’m not a Cloud hater, I like Final Fantasy 10 times more than Zelda, FF7 is my favorite game, and if I were a Cloud hater I wouldn’t have given Cloud the credit he deserves. In fact I defended Cloud, in one post. Also, if I were a Cloud hater I wouldn’t have played FF7 as much as I have, and last but certainly not least, if I were a Cloud hater I would have posted something like Cloud is weak compared to Link and Link would beat Cloud with no problem. Also Sakura, Link is able to defeat Ganon without all of his weapons, in fact, in the OoT I beat the shit out of Ganon in the final battle with just the master sword. So chew on that. Also why is it that you Cloud fans have to disrespect Link? Is it because you can’t make Cloud seem better? So instead you try to trash talk Link?

Shining Tears, SSBM is not an extension of the Zelda franchise, so it doesn’t count, and besides the best SSBM player in the world uses Link, so much for Link being so slow, right? Oh and young Link in Super Smash is one of the quickest characters. I can’t prove that Link can beat a Sephiroth clone, but you can’t prove that Cloud can either, you never fight the real Sephiroth or a Clone one on one with Cloud, try putting cloud on level 99 and beating Bizzaro and Safer without materia, items, or any type of cheats, I’ll bet you can’t, it would be almost impossible.

I have said that Cloud would beat Link if cloud had his materia to use, in fact Link would not stand a chance, the materia would make Cloud too powerful. That is the reason that you must let them both have only their swords and armor. Oh and on the teleport, the way Cloud moves in AC during that attack would mean that Link would have to be in the air for Cloud to use it. Cloud can’t move quickly outside of that one limit break, if he could he would have done so earlier in the movie. You Cloud fans just don’t want to give Link the credit he deserves.
