As humans, we tend to fear what we don’t understand, and I am not saying that they fear me, But I think they are afraid to actually get to know goths in general and realize that we are good people as long as you treat us with the same amount of respect that you want to be treated with. Also you say your not wanting attention but I tend to think that people who dress dramatically with outragious clothing like for instance- leather, chains, make-up, are pretty much asking for attention. You can listen to your gothic metal music without dressing like an undertaker in summer, so it just seems like goths want to be stared at, and ask for attention.
Thirdly he gothic personna isn’t meant to be all nice and welcoming, if someone wears a T-shirt saying “Death is cool” then it’s not going to make me want to get to know them to be honest.

Maybe I should dress like a rep. listen to preppy music, go to parties and do more drugs there than at any goth party, because the preps have all the money they need to do whatever thay want to, and noone will care because they are all goodey goodey to shoes, and everyone loves them. Fuck that, I would rather die. And noone goes around wearing a shirt that says death is cool, that I know of. People like that are posers. And it also goes with the whole judgeing us before getting to know us. You take one look at the way we dress, and instantly you don’t want to get to know us. Do you even know what Hot Toic, the best punk rock/goth store in the world is about, it is abut the music, the whole lifestyle is about the music, not about killing people and doing drugs, it is for the music, but very few people do it for that, there are more out there that do it for fashion, and those peole piss me off extreamly, maybe I am digging my own grave with this post, but I don’t care. Say what you want bout me, I am not listning anymore.
