Which game system is better? I have an Xbox and I’m fairly happy (Except with those disk read errors!) with it but what about these new systems?
I think I like the PS3 but what do you guys think (By the way, I read the specs and see the screenshots to judge the differences of systems that aren’t released)?
PS3 is ultimatley more innovative, twice as powerful, and it is supported by the more publishers and developers than any other console. While the 360 is interesting it does not seem to be a huge leap over the Xbox 1. The PS3 will be the first truly next gen console.

why?
x360 releases xmas, x360’s online play and other functionality puts it above revolution for sure. ps3 offers close to the same as x360 and releases worldwide 2006. so again it is above the rev.
the rev has shown nothing (hardware/games/developers/ideas) to suggest its better than either those other two and only releases japan/usa in 2006, but pal (europe/australia) wont release till 2007.
so overall the x360 has to come before ps3 bcos it releases 3-6 months earlier, worldwide, and its overall services/software/Live functions therefore place it above ps3.
really u cant put revolution in any place because nintendo hasnt released any technical specificaions yet. as far as we know revolution could be way more powerful than ps3 and xbox360.

i meant to say that at the moment, based on what is known and speculated, revolution has to place last bcos of the lack of info on it, whereas the other two have provided alot of specs, games info, and demos and console/controllers etc.
that doesnt mean that an 'at the moment' ranking means anything. its just a ranking. as the months roll by id imagine thered be alot of jockeying in those rankings....as more info comes out on the revolution, as more info/games news comes out for the x360 and ps3.
also, just an opinion, but im not sure id wanna spend any time downloading old nintendo favorites and play them on a next-gen console. same with the backward compatibility of the ps3, or even x360. if i did play/download any old games it would be purely for nostalgia and the interest would soon wear off bcos the whole idea of these consoles is next gen gaming. if i was purely interested in old games then i wouldnt have bought a ps2 or xbox or nintendo n64 or revolution.
i didnt own one ps1 game that i kept or used for ps2 and i wouldnt keep one ps2 game for ps3. i wouldnt own any xbox games to keep for x360 either. i trade in my old games to buy new ones. odds are those games were beaten and theres no point playing them again. or they were just crappy.

there might be one or two ps2 games other ppl would keep cos they love them, but i still think odds are the interest waned and the more enjoyment is gonna come from new next-gen titles running on new next-gen consoles.
thats why i dont understand the importance so much of backward compatibility. at the most thered be like a title or two thats a favorite, but chances are thered be a new version of those games on next gen. like halo say. if that was someones personal favorite, why bother when for sure thered be a halo 3 for next gen?

to me ps3 three is the best xbox360 is second,well nitendo shit its gay the ps3 graphics are going to be 20x better nown xbox360 and ps3 are going to be head to head shit nitendo they might as well quit trying to be competive there never going to be where the other advance system are they should just give up
the xbox 360 will win. the revolution might have a suprise that no one saw comin because no one nose anything about it yet but what does sony no about games, it never had 1 good game that wasent also on another consol
you guys know ABSULUTLY NOTHING of revoltuion becuase the revoltuions online play will be wireless and will have 2 modes of online play 1 allowing you to play with people just as good as you who u dont know and you can play with your friends on the other so nintendo will have the best online play by far and just for the hell of it smash brothers is gonna be online so the other 2 mught as well give up. it can download any nintendo consol catrige game to the memory redifining the term backward compatibility and can play game cube disks in the same media drive as the revoltuon game even though the difference in size. all that is revealed about the controllers is that there wirless and there something on the controller that no controller has ever had but it is yet to be announced. It will have much better graphics i hear but they have never been seen. And its a hell of alot sexier and smaller than those pussies. PS3 and 360 are all memory capacity and graphics and they have not a single new feature period.
and nintendo has the best games and i meen almost none of the good games on the other systems are not on Game cube. the only game on the x- box that is as good as metroid is halo and on the ps2 Gta. Metroid Prime 2 best gc but not by far Halo 2 only game voted for and thats an insult to microsoft and any game on the ps2 other than GTA games is completly ignored. You see nintendo has so many series that are equal if not better than those other games. Zelda will sell better than any game this year and metroid prime 2 echoes is this year top nintendo game and they have mario which might not teach you how to kill people but is more fun than that other bs. And any fanil fantasy game thats better than final fantacy chrystal chronicals is FFCC2 which sqaure enix is making a whole new line of FF games for so SONY can say bye to there FF games.
Hideo Kojima says he has no plans to bring any Metal Gear Solid game to a non-Sony next-gen platform, but he has high praise for the Xbox 360.
Speaking to Famitsu, Hideo Kojima, the famed game designer, revealed he has no plans to bring the Metal Gear Solid series to any next-generation platform other than Sony’s PlayStation 3.

The Revolution is officially the most popular next-gen console, because the readers of iconic Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu say so.
In a recent poll asking what next-gen console its readers were most looking forward to, the Revolution came out on top with a whopping 42% of the vote.
But it certainly wasn’t a landslide. Sony’s PS3 sneaked in just behind the Revolution with 40% of the vote, suggesting that the Japanese gaming community is split down the middle on Nintendo and Sony.
Unsurprisingly, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 limped home in third place with 18% of the vote. While it sounds like a disappointing result for Big Bill’s next-gen beast it’s actually a significant improvement on past polls and an indication that Microsoft’s Japan-centric charm offensive could be paying dividends.

As for the PS3 not been as good as the XBox 360 at integers,I can’t see why not as each SPE has 4xfloating point units & 4 integer units(and there are 7 SPE’s).So that make’s the PS3 more capable than the Xbox 360.Point I’d like to make about PS3 having Bluray which has the option of playing back movies and will be using for games,maybe not at first,but in the future.
