Funny how Nerv says Killzone uses post processing like it would be something bad. Hey Nerv maybe you explain this term for me, what is this responsible for?
Actually, I’ve complimented the post-processing effects.
DAMMIT!!!!!
My Yamaha amp/receiver just red ringed. lol
It’s soo boooooorrrring playing games with dull TV speakers. It’s amazing how a nice surround sound with a good powerful sub woofer can enhance a gaming experience.
Shit, that amp lasted about 4 years? I think I’ll go with a Sony amp this time. Sony seems to be more into the sound/stereo market than Yamaha. But that Yamaha amp did sound awesome while it lasted.
So now I’m looking for an amp/receiver in the $500 - $600 range preferably Sony. Anybody have any suggestions?
(Just the amp! NOT those cheap ass “surround sound in a box” with speakers)

Ahh you don’t really need that, a good headset is enough. I have Sennheiser wireless and the sound is great. The advantage is it’s cheaper and I can have the sound much louder than I normally would.

Shit, my speakers and sub woofer costs $2000 alone without the amp. Why would I waist the surround sound on a headset? Also that would be no fun with company over for the Ball games or UFC fights. My bluray player wouldn’t get the best theatre attraction in the house either. Plus the house-shaking rumble of the bass from the sub woofer in conjunction with controller rumble really intensifies the experience. That is until 'The Sarge' (wife) comes down yelling, “TURN IT DOOOOOOWN!!!!!! BLAH it feels like an earthquake upstairs” Haha

This one is getting my attention. 4 HDMI in connections, 7.1 true HD sound with future connections to stay up to date for a long time. A little above my price range, but damn, it might be worth it.

But does it have digital sound, fiber optic in, HDMI in and true HD sound? Is it optimized for surround sound? Hellz no.

My 8 year old Aiwa amp has all, part from HDMI.
Not true HD sound. Does it have DTS NEO6 Cinema?
