Marty Guest | Just wondered what your thoughts are on the Next Gen Hi Def DVD formats.
I think Bluray has alot of advantages.
1.More storage.
2.Sony are using it in there PS3 console(so will be mass produced and drop in price quickly).
3.Film & Game studio’s are backing it.

mcguy Guest | bluray will have a maximum capacity of 50 gb, while hd dvd will have a max of 30 gb. hd dvd is easier to make, less fragile, and is similar to the current dvd format, so it won’t be much more expensive to make.
that is more than enough room. current gen games are only about 1 gb......i think 9 gb is more than enough, but i gues you can store high quality movies on the extra space

Tito Jackson Licked my Balls Guest | yeah. but it doesnt really matter since no game will use that amount of data space anytime soon.

weird guy Guest | actually they probably will, because of the really high quality graphics. it takes more space to put in superb graphics, and since PS3 and Xbox 360 and Revolution (gamecube 2) are going to be pumped full of that, it’s going to take at least 1 dvd to store all of the animation and all that. so, we’ll need more space. I know. I do programming myself. currently, i’m working on making a programming lanugage that anyone can learn hella easy (think of just writing a normal human sentence. I’m talking that kind of easy, so anyone can make money).
| |
| 08 Jun 2005 11:00 pm |
mcguy Guest | yeah right, making a language is not as easy as it sounds. technically, there are some programs that let people make their own programs, but these programs are limited. aren’t you black though?
| |
| 08 Jun 2005 11:09 pm |
weird guy Guest | are you racist? so what If i’m black?
| |
| 08 Jun 2005 11:42 pm |
mcguy Guest | i have never met a black person that is good a programmer. maybe you are not even a programmer, and even if you are...are you a good one
| |
| 09 Jun 2005 09:37 am |
weird guy Guest | are you too stupid to grab the thought that anyone can program if they set their mind to it? are you too racist too understand that being black means shit in everything pretty much?
| |
| 09 Jun 2005 09:57 am |
mcguy Guest | I have come to a conclusion....I will make my own theorem........
McGuy’s Theorem of Intelligence.
If you are black, then you cannot be a good computer programmer due to the fact that the dark skin trait is linked with the inferior brain trait.
( recent studies have shown that people with a dark skin gene have a strange habit of buying cheesy rims for their cars, buying air force 1 sneakers which they had to save up all their life for, snort cocaine, and smoke weed)
Genes do not lie.

weird guy Guest | you’re a biased dumbass. of course that research is fake.
and that’s one theory I’d expect to here from a biased white. And no, dark skin is not linked to the inferior brain trait.
You ARE a racist.

mcguy Guest | thank you captain obvious. go back on topic. you are sad, and no i am NOT racist.
| |
| 09 Jun 2005 10:22 am |
weird guy Guest | okay then... anyways, as you probably know, microsoft is scrapping hd-dvd in favor of the DVD. pretty weird, eh?
sony’s using blu-ray.
just go onto www.gamespot.com it has an article on this topic (Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD).

Marty Guest | MS were never using HD-DVD always been using Dual Layer DVD 9gb.Yeh Its mad not including a next-gen DVD format that can be used for playing back HD movies.
