oh, you mean where the guy was fixing it? all you had to do was wait until the guy fixed the elevator and then on the wall that was shadowy that was near the elevator wait the guy went past and then interrogate him, knock him out and take out the remaining guard. then take the elevator onto the helicopter docking pad. I reccomend knocking out all the guards on the roof of the building where the heli pad is first. then, take the stairs that are on the neon sign. Take them, and there’ll be a zip line. jump on to it and it’ll take you onto another building. then you’ll see a mercenary on the other side of the building you’re now on. I reccomend interrogating him instead of doing the “cool move” that you could do to finish him off. then... well, I’ll leave the rest of the mission for you to discover.

No, it was in Displace on the lower floor of the level. There are two guards and a room with two unuseable elevators. But in the main hall, there is a useable elevator with a camra. I never knew that elevator was there and always tried to get into the unuseable elevators. And I already know what happens, I beat the game 2-3 days later.
Do you use the guns alot? Cus I never used the rifle until the second halves of the last 2 levels.
Ok first of all, how about you guys put up a spoiler warning before posting what happens in the game?
Ok so you have a thesis but you have no arguements. “Sam is more badass, therefore he wins”. No he isn’t. Sam knows how to hide very well, but Snake knows how to survive (proven in MGS3). Snake has CQC and knows how to use a wider range of weapons than Sam does. I haven’t really seen Fisher fight hand to hand other than the typical elbow to the head. Someone said about how Sam knows how to apply pressure points. Well what I have to say to that is if Sam managed to put Snake in a hold, Snake would have him in one of his own in 1-2-3. Let’s not even bring MGS4 into this because it brings a whole new twist to the story. Heck Raiden could kill Fisher. Fisher is still cool thought, but think Snake is the Champ.
i have played all the splinter cell games and all the mgs games.snake would simply in fist fight rip up sammy boy limb by limb but before he would knock sam out with cqc then beat him up whilst he was out cold then rape him then rip him up limb by limb but.in a gun fight.................SNKAE WOULD STILL TWO YOU MOTHER FUCKING SPLINTER CELL FANBOYS.by simply eiping rations runnoing head on into spam fishers nato rounds snake would have 5 rations then spam would run out of bullets and snke would equip his sexiful patriot and shoot spam apart limb by bone by limb apart. Then he would go and bang merrial cloned eva that japansese lady and the cloned sniper wolf in a big qaudsuame :0
I guess I’m gonna burn in hell with the rest of them then. Look; Solid Snake, while versatile and stealthy, doesn’t much rely on stealth. And, unless you count MGS 1, take place in completely different centuries, which makes it harder to compare them. Sam Fisher starts in the 21st century where as Snake starts in the 20th. There have been a lot of technological advancements that would give Fisher the advantage.
Then again, if you’re talking about MGS 4 snake, then he’s obviously got the advantage. I mean, he’s got a flipping camoflauge suit which would turn the tide, so it depends which game you’re talking about. Sam Fisher would probably kick MGS1 snake’s ass, simply because he has much better stealth instincts and is much more brutal (snapping necks, stabbing, etc.) but if he were to go up against MGS3 snake, then the battle would probably be even. Again, though, Snake would kick fisher’s ass if it were GotP snake.
And don’t tell me that Sam Fisher could never beat snake since he could never take down a metal gear. That’s because Sam Fisher’s more rooted in actual stealth, whereas Snake is just rooted in espionage.
Here is a scenario that might give you a glimpse of how it would go:
Stage: The Big Shell from metal gear solid 2. (I choose this stage because it is a stage that Snake is familiar with and it’s a stage with lots of shadows to hide in and pipes for Sam to hang off of).
Equipment: both characters have all the equipment featured in every game they have been in, but communication by codec is disabled for snake and communication is jammed for fisher so they have no extra help from outside sources IE. Lambert, Otacon, etc.
The fight: Fisher disables the lights so it’s pure darkness and snake can’t see. Snake equips night vision goggles and starts shooting at fisher. Fisher uses a smoke grenade so Snake cannot see him even with night vision. Fisher then equips thermal goggles to see through the smoke and takes aim at snake. after taking many rounds from Fishers rifle Snake realizes whats going on and whips a chaff grenade so fishers goggles are crap for a few minutes which gives snake the opportunity to whip out the flame thrower and blindly shoot through the smoke towards fishr. since it is pretty hard to miss with a Flame thrower Fisher is hit and since in all the games fisher can’t sustain much damage and usualy dies when he touches fire, fisher falls to the ground burning in agony!
therefore snake wins! I was not biased in any way, I thought this through carefuly and out of six different scenarios I came up with this was the best one that gave it a close match. if you have a better one then post it. But please save us the agony of reading a scenario that says: “Snakes a badass so he wins” or “fisher is stealthier so he wins”. please take the time to think it through.
Now hold ur horses rite there,
Sam Fisher, thers no legacy about him!
He has white hairs! He plays hide and seek and expects ppl not to look up when he does the splits in a hallway!
I bet the guards in MGS are more intelligent than Sam Fisher
Snake, He fights metal gears! goes on his mission...comes bak without a scratch on him!!!!
Sam Fisher, goes on his mission.....99.99% chance hell be sleeping with the fishes.
Snake, He has CQC chucks Sam on teh ground *stab stab stab* “watcha gonna split now”?
So, face it, Snake is better!!!
But the next ultimate question is....
HIDEO KOJIMA VS TOM CLANCY(hideo kojima rules)
Do u see Tom Clancy winning an award?
Hideo kojima won lots of awards FOR MAKING METAL GEAR SOLID
bye bye
I would like to start my relponse by saying that I love both series and that I am not a “fanboy”(I hate that word).
Alot of people posting here are making the assumption that Fisher is “just sneaky”. Have you even played Chaos Theory? In this game he turns into a knife weilding, one hit kill badass. He definately has the skills to take people out.
Snake on the other hand, is a well known kiliing machine, with the record to show it. He kills 100 ft tall war machines and superhumans that outclass him in many ways. He definately has serious kill skills.
In terms of characters, Im slightly leaning towards Snake (more personality) but I really do love Fisher’s voice(Snake definately has some overdone lines here and there).
For the fight, I will divide it into real world and game world scenarios.
Real world= 2/3 of the time, snake wins. 1/3 of the time Fisher wins. Snake just seems more capable in 1 on 1 combat, although Fisher is pretty fancy with his knife and martial art takedowns.
Video game= Sure, Snake takes alot of damage and keeps moving, but he is limited in several ways. First of all, he can’t move while aiming, and he can’t jump. I’d go for 50/50 on this one.
In conclusion I wasted several minutes of my life typing this while playing MGS2. One thig is for sure, they would both OWN Raiden.
Snake would murder sam Fisher (wat a gay name sam fisher lol) by the way Snake is way more stealthier and more action type of guy if played both series and sam fisher is way to slow in terms of speed and agility and hand to hand combat. Snake on the other hand has all the atributes a soldier needs for tactical espionage and warfare. Snake also go stealthy missions indoors mostly unlike mgs3 wich is in a jungle and it isnt even snake its naked snake aka big boss.Sam fisher is way too typical kind of spy in fact i dont even consider him to even beat solid snake. SNAKE ALSO is more stealthier using otocamo. By the way u dont see sam fisher save the world from domination and nuclear war and defeating metal gears. SOlID SNAKE HANDS DOWN MAN HE IS THE MAN.
