If you dropped Sam and Snake in the jungle Snake could survive, while Sam would likely die after he ran out of batteries.
Also, Snake does exactly what is needed at the time, if sticking to the shadows or scaling a wall is what needed, he will do it, if not, then he wont. Sam, however, is only trained to do that one aspect of stealth. XD
The Splinter Cell game does not exploit all of Sam Fisher’s training or instincts. You Really think that the goverment would class Sam as their best soldier if he couldn’t survive in the jungle without battaries... think again dude.

play MGS2 play as raiden point a gun at snake when he’s sleeping he reacts as soon as you point the gun at him and he’s asleep so u can’t sneak on him he’s always alert anyway Snake has way more combat moves
I see your point but When Shetland tries to shoot Sam in the end of CT Sam rects and kills Shetland whilst the bullet was in midflight. As for combat moves, Sam is so lethal that he kills or knocks out his oponent with little more that a reflex, Snake still has to think to fight, Sam is an instrument of war. Verdict, Sam Fisher would still win.

family_guy19 Guest | black_jack have u ever played mgs?
play it for 5 minutes and u will see what snake is capable of.
i know that sam fishers character is improving with every game and hes getting more badass in every single one, but solid snake will win because if he can take out a bunch of robots on his own, what chance will sam fisher have?
Solid snake also can use any weapon he comes across and can carry every one even though u cant see it. on the other hand sam fisher is limited in his weapons.
u may say that 'hey thats so unrealistic becuase snake can carry all of his weapons but u cant see them!' Well its a video game so get over it. in the metal gear solid games alot of wierd shit happens that u dont see in real life, while in splinter cell the storylines and game play is far more applicable to real life combat situations. This in turn, will enable snake to come out victorious if they every square off becuase snake will always pull of shit that is impossible in real life.

Like carrying infinite weapons - that is a gameplay element; not a talent or skill Snake has. --- I am a Servant of the Shadow, Minion of the Great Eye.

Stick the pig Guest | Snake grabs his weirdo mutant-hands and break em. Then he goes further to Sam’s legs and cut em off and eat them. Finally he uses Sam’s face as another facepaint.
Haaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa, I’m sorry.
Well, I think Snake is more a soldier than a spy. He combines military tactics with spionage behaviour. Fisher is darkness.

Sam Fisher goes Jack Carver on Snake’s ass, the national anthem plays, nukes are dropped, and an american flag rises out of Snake’s stomach like the alien. It ends with Sam standing in front of the flag, one foot on top of Snake’s chest, now waving from the wind created by the choppah’s that the Govena of Californya called in.
THE END --- I am a Servant of the Shadow, Minion of the Great Eye.

Point and case: True Crime: Streets of LA, LA cop Nick throws chopstick across restaraunt into ear of triad thug. Chopstick penetrates skull through ear-hole above zygomatic bone of skull, and causes permanent loss of hearing in ear, internal bleeding, and possible brain damage. --- I am a Servant of the Shadow, Minion of the Great Eye.

But it is true that chopsticks can be a deadly weapon; Mr. Miyagi could probaly kill someone silently with them. --- I am a Servant of the Shadow, Minion of the Great Eye.

Grudgecast Guest | Guys, guys, presuming that we are talking about Sam Fisher as a character fighting Solid Snake as a character and not the quality of either of their games, let’s look at each guy:
Solid Snake: his idea of stealth is hiding in a cardboard box and hunching right behind someone, ducking behind something if he turns around
Sam Fisher: Has a suit created for stelth and can operate flawless ly in the dark or other areas of stealth with goggles. Is equipped with top of the line stealth equipment and his idea of stealth is to hide in the shadows.
Well, if it’s a test of stealth, clearly the victor is SAm, but if we’re talking about a fight mono a mono, let’s check again.
Snake: He’s tough when it comes to combat. He’s a run and gun kind of man and isn’t afraid to really knock someone around. equipped wit everything from a pistol to a rifle to an RPG to a MISSILE LAUNCHER he’s armed to the teeth (and then some)
Sam: He’s armed with very little equipment to take someone down in a one on one fight (thus the stealth) and is generally armed with such light weapons as a sniper rifle, a handgun, or a knife. Not much else.
Looks like Sam’s swiss cheese if he tries to tackle Snake head on.
