Overa, Snake has the advantage. For one thing, he’s more badass, you have to admit; beating up a cyborg ninja,survivng a battle with a bullet resistant crazy chick with a rail gun, destroying nuclear capable bipedal tanks, and also Sam’s interrogation is too long winded. Naked Snake just stuck a knife at their throat and growled 'speak'. Pretty damn cool.Neither world is very realistic by the way. Do you think that the worlds top security buildings were designed by an architect who thought frequent dark areas conveniently located would make for a good asthetic? You have to also take into account that the AI in both games is completely different. They move as a team in MGS, and Fisher is best at bypassing individuals.Snake would be spotted immediately by the SC guards though as they’re much more perceptive. If they were to have a fight with all their equipment, Snake is invisible and has unlimited ammo. Fisher doesn’t need that. He equips his thermal goggles, jumps up to a pipe and crawls along, is about to reach for snakes neck and... A nikita blows up his sorry ass...

Ok i don’t know why this topic keeps coming up but neither naked or solid snake are asian. Naked snake has blue eyes. Solid Snake is a clone of naked snake. So he has blue eyes also. Don’t even try to argue that hes part asian, because blue eyes are a gentically recessive trait. While brown eyes, typical of most people of asian decent, are dominant which means that it is impossible for the recessive trait to overwhelm the dominant trait. So snakes all-american and so is sam fisher.

Sam would win. Darkness or light, from afar or close up. Sam has multiple vision goggles, so any hiding under a boz or crap like that would not work. Yeah, Snake has his stealth suit, but Sam could still see him, then Sam would use his electronic disruptor that is hooked up to his pistol and Snake’s suit is done for. Snake has CQC...whoop-die-doo. CQC stands for close-quarters combat, that means anything from tai kwan do to kicking someone in the shin is fair game. Even a child knows basic CQC. If you think that MGS 3 Snake created CQC, you are sadly mistaken. It has been around since the beginning of time. Snake is supposedly stealthy but all I’ve ever seen him do is shoot everything in sight. Sam Fisher would destroy Snake, since Snake can’t hit what Snake can’t see.

snake is screwed and with the silencers sam could get five shots in before he would relize

The only way to do this is to go into detail, so that’s what I’m gonna do.

Session #1 Sam Fisher vs Solid Snake in the Metal gear game.
after several hours of intese boss fight game play Snake (the player) would gane the upper hand and win but the chances are that Sam would turn and help him out with a bit of info before bitting the big one.

Session #2 in the world of Splinter cell
Well if it took place in the first game their would be no fight, the player (Sam) would just sneak around and plant a 5mm in the back of Snakes head, “objective complete”
in the later games there would probably be a cut scene with a bit of intense CQC but ultimatly Sam would tear Snake a knew one and finish him of with a bullet to the head of a throat cut or good old fashion broken neck. A blitz in Sams favor in other words.

Session #3 in the real world where Snake can’t take several sniper round in the brain pan and Sam’s life bar don’t regenerate and Snake can’t carry an entire arsenal of weapons in his pockets the fight would no doubt be intense but Fisher is more powerful and i would say more inteligent.
ultimatly the decision is of cause up to the fan if you like Snake you’re gonna vote for him vise versa, but in my opinion Sam Fisher is the better Soldier and would win in all but one situation, if the fight took place inside a metal gear game.

“Snake can kill big robots so he would kill Fisher," that line is so SO old, Sam could kill a metal gear if he had to with more ease than Snake, cause he’s more athletic, but the reason that he doesn’t is because Splinter Cell is based in the real world were those thing don’t exsist.

Last but not least, when it comes down to plane old CQC. Snakes fancy high kicks and lightning jabs only nock enemies down for a few seconds, one smash to the head from Fisher’s fist or knee and a soldier is down for the entire mission. Also he has corner grabs and neck breaks and knife attacks.

verdict... Solid Snake is awsome and a legend but Sam Fisher is more athletic, has more tech, more powerful in a fight, and just plane old smarter. for more details play both games with a none bias attitude. See ya.

both the games rock but snake would completely and totally destroy sam, hes twice as smart 10x more badass, he dosnt have to be lurking in the shadows to kill someone, he kills metal gears (correct me im wrong but a metal gear is far more dangerous than nikoladze in the first splinter cell) and most of all hes a clone of the greatest soldier of the 20th century, big boss.

Snake does his missions using tonnes of guns. Sam does it using bugger all compared Snake. Snake may be a seem better but Sam is smarter and could easily outsmart dumbass Snake.

While I agree with Pro Seal, if Sam was SAS he would be even better, SAS kick Navy Seals arses, even though i admit the navy seals come close.

if you take away their fancy gadgets and mystical pieces of thread with symbols on them, and rely strictly on skill, they are pretty evenly matched. I would have to say that fisher would win. That’s just my opinion, if it even matters.

Look... Snake was born for war and battle... he got the genes of the best soldier in history! His reflexes are superiors and he’s always alert (MGS2 when Raiden try to kill him while he sleeps). If Sam tries to get him from behind, Snake will know it.

You are saying that kung fuu thing can beat CQC?!! Hey have you ever see Big Boss taking out Ocelot and the GRU in MGS3?? No super powers... but he beat them all.

I have played SC and his fightings skill are more like '' I punch... I grip... I trow... I do a super kick...'' Snake will just beat him whit CQC...

Snake can handel all types of weapons... Sam can’t.

and... Snake is just more badass than Sam... he have a bandana and he infiltrate a base without being seen once. He just have a raelly cool voice and... and... he have nice hair.
