The Sims 2 & Sims 2 University Help!

Today I bought the Sims 2 deluxe and it won’t install! I have Windows XP and I made sure all my firewalls were off but it still won’t work. For instance, I put the cd in disk drive d and it won’t automatically come up. So I went to Run and typed in what the manual told me to and it said insert disk in drive d; my disk was in drive d.. What do i do???

hello...can somebody help me?!...i have installed sims 2 but i cant install sims 2 university...when it asked to insert the sims 2 dvd when updating it says “error updating” something like that,,and it will terminate...i tried to install it over and over again and i bought another cd coz i thought the problem was on the cd..but the same problem occured..what shall i do?!...pls help!!!...

Does anyone know of a codec that will allow sims2 movie files to be imported into Windows Movie Maker?I need a codec, I’ve tried changing settings and everything.

i can`t install the patch!!! every time I try to do it it keeps asking me to inster CD4, I put it but it doesn’t work, i’ve tryed it everything, I installed an expansion and when it comes to the upgrade part I restarted the PC and it worked, but when I wanted to install another one, it Doesn’t work... I Can perfectly uprgade the expansion once I Install it... i dont know why i cant uprgade just the sims, I reinstalled it 5 times, Deleted it mannually, installed it mannually, everything, used CCleaner, Registry Clean Expert, Nod, Adaware but nothing...

oh god, the exact same thing happens with me, i have thought about buying another cd, but after reading this, i think i shouldnt cuz id just be wasting my money,,,,,,,,,,please help someone!

Does it matter if you’re using Windows Vista? I’m using Vista, with Daemon Tools, and am trying to run Sims 2 University. I followed the instructions, but when I click on “my desktop shortcut” it gives me the following error message: “Please make sure that The Sims 2 and any of its tools are not running before starting this application." I brought out my Task Manager and nothing for Sims running.

hi. i’ve been trying to download my sims 2 cd but it keeps on saying"someting wrong occured while downloading sims2 would you like to retry or cancel?" i press retry and the bar only goes up to 18% could someone tell me what’s wrong with it? it worked before!

ok so my game (sims 2 & university) is working fine. but like when i save my person and like i go back to try and play that person again i9t says i need to make a new person to play that household. do i have to make everyone finish college?!??!

ok if ya want to burn ur sims game you have to burn only the first disk and let the person borrow 2-4. and give them the code and then everybody can have sims ^_^

hi guys, um ive semi installed sims 2 university, but half way throught installing it says 'please insert disk number 2', well i bought the game from HMV so it hasnt got a second disc. i was just wondering what the second disc is and also if it might be Sims 2? but i dont want to load that incase it busts that up. please help me!
