Hitman Guest | I think that you should get a warning before you ban someone. You banned my friend for “threating ppl” and i read the post and i did not see a threat. Some people see things in a different light, and should be warned instead of banning ppl. That is uncool, only thing worse than bad posts are bad moderators. Wow threats are a instant ban while telling kids the correct way of commiting suicide is ok. Wow doesnt make any sense.

aids Guest | Yea i agree. Should get a warning for something that stupid. The funny part is almost every topic there is ppl threating each other and neither get banned. I think they just pick someone and ban them for the power. You do know that were both about to be banned and this topic will be gone before anyone reads it.
Oh thats what made this forum kool is how free it use to be. Now its like a chat and help for kids, and anything you do will lead to you getting banned.

Thats really stupid, they leave the racist and the spammers alone and ban ppl for there opion. Oh dont forget the suicide group of ppl who tell kids the best way and the least painful way of commiting suicide. I would wont my kids to learn about abortions and not learn about suicide and how kool it is. I can go to any topic and find almost everyone breaking the rules, but they dont get banned. He said it in the lounge and if you look at the important rules, the first rule is that there is no rules. But the confusing part is that if you read down there is RULES. Someone needs to lay off the peace pipe because here in the u.s. that makes no sense.

Feedback is supposed to tell the moderator how you like it and what could make it better. But you just dont know, alot of moderators these days get a kick out of banning ppl. And its normally the ppl who help that gets banned and the ones that spam and put up pointless post just gets to keep on doing what they do best. I know many posts where all you see is them cursing and nothing else, just 100% pure cursing and there always on the next day to do it again. I think they like to see drama thats why they ban the good ppl and let the annoying ppl play.

helper Guest | You could tell your friend to get a ip changer. The best i’ve seen is “hide ip platinum” and it generates fruity ip address and hides the real one from getting banned. Its not free and he will have to pay $20 for it. But its great for the ban happy moderators. Now that more moderators are turning out to be 12 year old kids, thats why so many ppl get banned, or maybe like yall said they get kicks out of having power over something. A threat is a pretty stupid reason to get banned. Hello guys were on computers, i can’t see you more less kill you.

Huh Guest | Wow are they serious, you can get really banned for a threat. I have seen it all, most good web forums worry about cursing and just bad topics. But they worry about threats? Your most likily to get killed walking up the street before a computer kills you. Actually i never heard of a computer killing ANYONE. Computers are low voltages and even if it fell into the bath tub with you it wont kill you. That is just to funny. Here is a idea how about instead of worrying about threats, you take these lame topics down like “penis enlargement” “suicide” “have you been spanked”
and there is so many. I know its hard to moderate all this but if you cant ban all the ppl who breaks the rules then you shouldnt ban anyone. Its unfair to pick and chose who you want banned. you could lock up topics, ban e-mails, and there names if you cant get there ip address because of ip changers. Web forums are going down hill with all these stupid rules and bad moderators. Oh and someone needs to really fix there “important rules” because its confusing and makes no sense. Starts by saying there is “no rules” and ends with “rules” hmmmmm... That doesnt make any sense in any country or any language.

That some people get banned for posting something bad and you see all sorts of other equally bad things around does not mean that they do not deserve to get banned also... We cannot moderate and be everywhere at once - banning is also somewhat meant as a warning to limit the bullshit you post...

Helper Guest | I wont lie..... I use “Hide Ip platinum” and yes it is a proxy server but with one click you can change your proxy server to whatever. Also you can change your ip address on the spot with a click of the button, and it generates totally different ip’s all together, not just the last two digits but the whole address itself. But you have a choice if you want to be on a a proxy or not so i dont know if that will stop me or others. Dont worry i help and follow the rules so i’m not here to give ppl a headache. This program has potential to be a problem for moderators, but surley there is a way to detect it. I will do some research and see how you could beat this program. Here is just a idea about the banning thing, you say it acts as a warning for bs posts. So why not just temp ban ppl for there first offense and hang on to there ip address so you know which have been warned and those that have not. Just a idea, dont even know if thats possible.

Well, if it becomes a problem I guess it will be easy to stop; I can simply disallow posting from an open proxy server (which is what Hide Ip platinum uses). Open proxy servers can easily be identified by a few lines of php code checking if it responds in a certain way hehe :-)

Helper Guest | Yup, thats the only way i can think of how to stop it. Did a google search but nothing but that comes up for a solution. Only thing bad about stopping proxies is that many ppl use them. I dont use the program so i can create problems, i use it to stop ppl from getting my ip. If my ip fell into the wrong hands, he will have complete access to my computer and thats not kool. But i wouldnt worry about ppl getting this program and keeping it because it brings your connection to a crawl, its so slow with a proxy. Not worth the money in my opinion.

do something once, always give them a second chance. do it again, and theyll always keep doing it.
my personal opinion is tho...try to reform ppl if you can. some ppl (or criminals) keep making mistakes, have some deep problem that takes longer to fix, but i believe we’re all worthwhile, worth something.
but yeah, didnt like the guy.

Yes I’m god around here, so bow down! Muhaha! Nah do not worry. All I want to do is moderate well and in a balanced way and to respond to all complaints. Taurusx will be watched closely over the next days, I’m very near to banning his IP range, but I need a bit more data before I go ahead and do that. When I ban whole IP ranges from doing guest posting I am always very carefull to do it right.
Another thing, if I ban you by mistake or atleast if you think you did not deserve it, please do not hesitate to email me, but do not harass me or call me funny things: that will NOT get you unbanned.
One thing I got out of these topics today is that perhaps I should introduce a nicer way of banning people  I think perhaps I should introduce temporary bans for the not so severe posts in addition to what I do now (permanent).
