rippon Guest | i not sure on my views of the halo movie.And thats for 2 simple resons.......if its based on the game it will be a shit ending an a crappy romantic thing between cortana an master cheif.
But if its based on the book it will be a lot better movies that r based on books are the best movies u can see.

Yeah i agree about that kid with the poem about Halo, he sounds like a nerd but Halo 1 and 2 are fucken cool......one of THE BEST games ever made and don’t say that it isn’t because the sales back up my statement u fool!
This movie is gunna be Magnificent and if done right - IF DONE RIGHT - it could be as good as the Lord of the Rings was, the storyline is right there - it just needs someone who is a good director and whoever that may be... the director also has to be a hardcore Halo fan.
And one more thing.........Bungi have a direct say in the creative process so you can be sure that the movie will be true to the game and it is not gunna be just another Hollywood Spin on a game (eg. Resident evil) because of this reason(Bungi’s involvement).

james01 Guest | OK, The story is - it is the year 2552, Planet Earth still exists, but overpopulation has forced many of her former residents to colonize other worlds. Faster-then-light trave is now a reality and the United Nations Space Command has put its full weight behind the colonization effort and as a result, millions of humans now live on habitable planets in other solar systems.
A keystone of our colonization efforts is the planet Reech, an interstellar naval yard that builds colony ships for civilians and warships for UNSC’s armed forces. Reech is relatively close to Earth and is a hub for scientific and military activity.
32 years ago, contact with the outer Colony Harvest was lost. A battlegroup sent out to investigate was almost completely destroyed, only one badly damaged ship returned to Reech.
Its crew told of a seemingly unstoppable alien warship that had effortlessly annihilated their forces.
This was humankind’s first encounter with a aliens, and over time they were known as “The Covenant”. They were a bunch of different species all united by one pretty twisted religion, and the elders declared the human race to be evil and they waged a 'holy war' upon humanity with gruesome diligence.
After acouple of years of crushing defeats and whole colonies destroyed, UNSC Admiral Preston Cole established “The Cole Protocol” : no vessel may lead the Covenant to Earth. When forced to Withdraw, ships must avoid jumping to anywhere which may lead the Covenant to Earth, even if that means jumping without proper navigational calculations. Vessels in danger of capture must self-destruct.
Back on Reech, a secret military project to create cyborg super-soldiers takes on newfound importance, the soldiers of the Spartan 2 project rack up an impressive record against the covenant, but there are too few of them to turn the tide of the war.
Existing SPEARTAN 2 soldiers are recalled to Reech for further tweeking and inhancing. The plan was to board a covenant vessel with the improved SPARTAN 2’s and learn the location of the Covenant home world.
However.... two days before before the mission begins, Covenant forces strike Reech and annihilate the colony. The Covenant are on Earths doorstep.
One ship, “the Pillar of Autumn”, escapes with the last SPARTAN 2 and makes a blind jump into deep space hoping to lead the Covenant away from Earth......
That is where the gameplay for Halo 1 starts - u are the MasterCheif, the last remaining SPARTAN2 that exists, a geneticaly inhanced cyborg/super-soldier. U start off on “the Pillar of Autumn”, the ship is being infilltrated by Covenant forces after they took the bait and followed the ship into deep-space and you have to protect protect the ship from being over-run by enemy/alien forces,
But thats the thing - this is where the story REALLY starts, the ship gets damaged while being chased and fired upon by fleets and fleets of Covenant battle cruises, and that when u see it.......... a massive Halo Ring the size of Earth(give alittle - take alittle). the Halo has trees and wildlife(although very primitave, birds, lizards and little stuff) even has its own atmosphere with clean, fresh oxygen.
Hi, now THATS the kind of 'mature' response i was after.... whats up maxx spider, i also have trouble playing Playstation2 because i play Xbox a fair bit, so.........
The story get a whole lot deeper but i have typed sooooo much already and i can’t be f*cked anymore so i think u’ll just have to go to a mates joint, hire out Halo 1 and play it, you can clock’it over night on normal mode, but it would take longer on Heroic or Legendary difficulty. So do ya self a favour and play it because it is TRUELY
THE BEST GAME OUT THERE!!!
And thats only half the story/plot OF WHAT WE HAVE SEEN SO-FAR........

Man its funny that u don’t really notice the typing era’s until the next day, lol
Halo the movie is gunna be SWEET and really has the potential to be one of THE GREATEST movies ever made.... it has the pottential > the storyline is just waiting for some good director to come along and turn it into a masterpiece like the LotR. Has anyone herd any news about a director yet?

OK... its been out for a while now so i’ll just mention this anyway - peter jackson is exec. producer and Marty(music from the games) will be doing the music for the movie..
I can’t wait to see it...
Although, judging by how no-body at all posts anything in this thread... by the time someone actually reads this the movie will already be in the cinemas or, lmao, out on dvd
