SOTW#36 Pirates

This week is gonna be a little different.

Normally, if you want to enter, you post your sig right in the thread. However, a few people seem to worry that due to this, it’s easy for people to simply vote for someone because they like them, not necessarily the piece itself. It’s been suggested that instead of doing what we normally do: ALL ENTRIES WILL HAVE TO BE SENT TO ME VIA A PRIVATE MESSAGE. If you post your entry here, it will not be permitted into the contest, so if you want to enter, you’d have to make a new one. Also, you are not to put your name, nor a symbol or logo that identifies you in the entry.

After I have all the entries, I will save them all to my private hosting account to eliminate the chance of relying on similar photobucket accounts. After the voting has ended, I will announce the authors of all the entries so they may receive their recognition.

While doing so would be easy, I would like to stress that I do not want ANY sharing of sigs outside of Moviecodec. So I don’t want you talking on AIM or MSN, saying “this one is mine”. That ruins the point. We’ll have no way of knowing, but GOD WILL.

Since I will know whose entry is which, I won’t be voting this week. However, you can bet your ass I’ll still be entering.

OK! I think that’s all sorted out. Anyways, onto the theme and parameters and all that jive.

Theme is pirates because pirates are awesome. Vikings, space pirates, and the like are also permitted. No ninjas though, those are gay. Keep them out of your sigs. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and gang rape.

Parameters are basically the same. I don’t feel like looking back at what they are every week but I feel at this point everyone knows. If you don’t, no big deal. Just nothing too massive. If you’re wondering if it’s too big, just ask yourself “do I want to see something this big as someone’s sig?" If not, scale it, crop it, I don’t care. Make it smaller.

Anyways, you may commence now. Entries are cut off as soon as Thursday begins. 'Cause Thursday at midnight, that’s when the voting’ll start.

EDIT: Knew I’d forget something. While it seems obvious, I need to point out you can’t have the sig you made as your forum signature until voting has ended. Also no having it in your account page or maybe your sig thread in arts/creativity.

Yeah, basically the rule covers just no way of showing that the sig is yours. I knew I forgot to add that, Cid talked to be about it.
