Was Avatar 'wasted' on Nickelodeon?

The plot and characters are far more sophisticated then any other television series on the Network Station. Pretty much all cartoons nowadays underestimate the intelligence of their viewers. But Avatar was clearly not just for children. Everyone can enjoy the show, no matter their age.

Let me put it this way, on NetFlix, the first season has a rating of 4.5, the highest I’ve ever seen on the site. This is coming from over 500 reviews, most of which are adults.

So, I was left pondering. What if the show had not aired on Nickelodeon, and restricted by Nick’s kiddy rules? The show could have been so much more, in my opinion.

It could have been a hell of a lot better with looser rating restrictions, so yes.

A teacher (an older woman) at my school loved Avatar.

Some people just don’t understand the Golden Rule.

I think Avatar was good either way. That show, hopefully, will get Nickolodean to produce more cartoonimes just like it.

I think if it wasn’t air in Nickelodeon it would have been mindless action cartoon with bad stories. Example DBZ, Naruto and Bleach. Unless the original writers are still there then yeah it would have been perfect.
