Yeah, Spartan’s are too good for Maximus’s gladiators. But Maximus beat Commodus after getting stabbed in the lung. So he could probably beat Leonidas.

erm...no. Your logic doesn’t even make any sense.

The spartns fought for 3 days of 300 Spartans, which was the main force along with 6 thousand other soldiers (more like civilians) against over a million warriors..

Leo wins this fairly easily, especially since these guys are hardcore. Much more so then Max.

How so? They are more or less equal in fighting skill and strategy yet I would favour Maximus as he is better protected.

Maximus mostly fought hand to hand without his allies support (and the one v one with the Emperor), Leonidas was always right by his allies in Phalanaxs (sp?). Also the Spartans were not out in an open battlefield, they were in a very narrow pass so that it was literally equal.

I’m going to go with leo too, Spartan’s didn’t wear as much armour as other armies as they didn’t want to lose any speed or flexibility.
Spartans were trained since a young age and even sent into the wild to fend for themselves. I must admit max is a good strategist but 1 on 1 he will lose badly in both the strength and speed department and sheer combat effectiveness.

Your logic...once again is dumb. No offense. There is a reason why Spartans were considered some of the best worriers throughout history. They live and breath battle.

The fact that they were fighting as a unit against a million in a narrow path way shows us that he knows more about battle and wars then max.

Max however is a complete amateur next to leo and with soldiers who only know how to swing a sword.

And the fact that the Spartans DON’T wear armor is because they already HAVE a semi perfect defense, which gives more protection then any Armour could. Not to mention the freedom of mobility.

Exactly how much do you know about this? I don’t think you know much at all.

The near perfect defence is a phalanx, and if a Spartan was caught out of that defence mechanism he would be cut down within seconds. And the Roman Army only knows how to swing a sword? Right.

We are not talking army on army we are talking one on one each get back to main topic - what defines a fight is both experience and skill both which leo has more of combined with strenth and speed i don’t see how max is going to win.

Wrong. You have to consider the phycological problems of each individuals of the army of Max’s. The fact that they are fighting against an army of over a million, there morals would plummant. Depression would set in and the freedom to flee from death, half the army would run away.
This would basically condemn the army to an inevitable death.

Maximus beat Commudos (who sparred against half a dozen guys at once in the freezing cold and no shirt on) with his lung punctured by a knife.

FYI, Maximus only had 5000 men.

And leo had 300, that is not part of the argument.

leo was in the freezing cold by himself with nothing but pants and a sharp stick when he was 12 - 15 and still continues to walk around with no shirt on.
After being hit by 4 arrows he still stood up and his partner (can’t remember his name) was stabbed through the body by 3 swords and this was all the way through and stil took dow all three immortals which were called that because they were that good in combat.
