followng a few events that dont make sense, All powers from the Star Wars universe during the old republic era and in the movies somehow manage to unite to challenge a powerful enemy,
The entirety of the imperium of mans forces including before the heresy and after the heresy.
This insane battle takes place in a single solar system with both space and land battles.
Note: planetary destruction is not allowed because both sides are far too capable of doing it.The warp is also not tainted as all outside interruptions are removed
I knew that was coming and would like to point out that the God emperor of mankind is still alive and even at his weakest point had unleashed supernova levels of power.
This being when his throat was slit, his very blood turned to poison his arm ripped out of his socket and many bones broken. And then of course theres the fact that he was simultaneously fighting four chaos gods in the warp and Warmaster Horus in the physical realm
Unless of course you are willing to add their various feats.

Suncrushers caused supernovas on massive scales, and Darth Bane destroyed one incredibly easily.

Suncrushers are spacecrafts that has a single pilot who can be mindcontrolled and sent on suicide by crashing on any passing asteroid or planet so that hardly helps.

Nihilus can drain the living force from anything, Bane and Nadd kick @$$, and then there are like a bazillion other Jedi, Sith, troopers, etc.

Any low levelled psyker could pull it off
Suncrushers weren’t sent on suicide missions. And besides, they’re armor was, well, possibly the best armor in the series. Bane destroyed one insanely easily.

the living “force” from anything which again hardly helps when your opposition draws instead on the warp not to mention the imperium has technology to prevent supernatural incidents like demon spawning on their spacecraft from happening After all, soul sucking entities are hardly new to the warhammer 40k universe. In fact chaos gods and demons do it everyday.
and then the 20 primarchs have had impressive feats too such as Leman Russ Slaying a Massive planet spanning Kraken with his axe and tossing it aside as not challenging enough, Sanguinius single handedly killed the most powerful daemon during the heresy, Angron killed an eldar strike force as a baby and Ferrus Manus destroyed a regenerating metallic monster possibly with his bare hands. In short they all kick ass. Oh lets not forget Mortarion swimming in Molten Lava either as a sign of durability.
Jedi are more akin to peacekeepers rather than a military force and their nemesis the psyker in the imperium are equally numerous except that there are some so powerful they can mindcontrol entire armies or even entire planets as some Librarians have shown.
In fact it is possible that there are more psykers than jedi as Psykers are sacrificed to the emperor in the thousands and they still exist in huge number
The imperial guard number in the billions at minimum and it is said that their number of dead outnumber the stars in the universe. Despite this their number still seems virtually limitless as millions of new imperial guardsmen reach military age everyday
of course suncrushers aren’t sent on suicide missions. Unfortunately now is the time to find out if they can survive hyperspace velocity speeds into Planets. now that their pilots are now slaves to whichever psyker is doing the mind controlling.
Killing a spacecraft with supernova missiles is very different from killing someone with sheer psychic power equivalent to a supernova but much much more concentrated.
P.S. Ready to bring the military itself now rather than the super powered leaders? theres plenty more where these came from
It can’t be that bad, Star destroyers are far better designed than those flying cathedrals the Imperium uses and the Alliance could always use Jedi’s or Sith for those sensitive positions you keep wanting to mind control.
In space the combination of Death star, Suncrusher, Star Forge and superlaser mounting Star destroyers are going to tear a huge hole in the Imperiums fleet.
On the ground the Star wars side can mass produce droids while sending hordes of clonetroopers, Sith troopers storm troopers and republic troopers
Force sensitives aren’t immune to mind control, Luke himself was briefly mind controlled in the expanded universe.
In the 40th century the imperium had Warp Missles which ignored shielding and could immediately strike any part of an enemy ship desired, including superlasers. They also had Vortex Missles which ripped the fabrics of space and sent spacecraft into hell.. something the small suncrusher will be extremely vulnerable to and throwing around planet destroying weaponry isn’t instant win when the enemy has them too.
God ... don’t even go to ground combat. The most powerful warriors of the Imperium are the Adeptus Custodes who are so badass they wiped out millions upon millions of orks in less than an hour while losing 3 men. Said orks were even supported by titans and heavy armor while the custodians were only armed with their guardian spears.
And the worst part about it is the fact that they achieved this with their personnel weapons not any massive supernatural power. they’re completely immune to all psychic powers being completely blind to it.

I’d Have to say the IOM would win easy here,lets jsut go over the basics
the IOM have millions of worlds, the galactic empire a few thousand at best,an average satr destroyer is around 7km in length ( I stand to be corrected), there are super star destroyers, but the empire has very few of those, the IOM’s space marine chapters each have at least 3 battles barges and several strike cruisers (the average sized ships in they’re fleets) are the size of star destroyers, also the IN’s battleships are like 24-27 km long and have supperior weaponry, fighters and shielding.
And unto the jedi and the sith, lets get out fact straight here, there are no more jedi by the establishment of the empire, if there are (yoda, ben kenobi but he’s dead) aren’t part of the empire, the two sith lords they have could be killed by the average psyker from the IOM.
On the ground battle, the IOM has got numbers, quality of weapons and the astartes more causally known as space marines. The empire enlists normal men for ground troops, the few remaining “elite” troops the storm troopers are becoming in short supply (the cloning chambers we’re lost and the few found by Thrawn were destroyed after luke killed C’Boath). A storm trooper gets destroyed by astartes seeing as how they arent enhanced physically, they are jsut based on the template of a bounty hunter, the space marines OUTSIDE of their armour are bullet proof, due to one of the gene sede implants in them. Also cause of the accelerated growth of storm troopers, they age twice as quick, and drop out of active combat service quickly because of their old age, whereas teh astartes, live well over 1000 years, and as far as anyone can tell, only die in combat and not from old age. AND if by some weird chance a storm trooper wounds an astartes mortally (which is hard to due) the astartes can go into a coma (gene seed implant) and survive the worst of wouds by stopping their metabolism. The empie got AT AT’s but there arent alot of those, and they would get owned by psykers and titans(even small titans).
And finally about the death star, it’d be destroyed piece meal, it has comparitively weak shielding, while I do not deny in a battle it’d kill a few IOM ships, the IOM would win easy, and the loss of a planet for the IOM is like the loss of a minor city for the galactic empire.
so lets just say sure the galactic empire is great and all, but they got nothing on the IOM in anyays shape or form

But I do want to add that if its the enitirety of of the history, the empire the gets ALL of its old troops back, literally translating to hundreds of millions of space marines each one with different forms of fighting to cover all the bases, plus that also means that the number of guardsmen and titan legions, not to mention the IOM gets back all of its lost technology and then theres the iron men which they used for ealy conquest and those jusr kicked @$$, also since SW gets EVERY FACTION there to help them, then that means (even thought it doesnt need it) IOM gets chaos,elday(before the fall so its an unstobalble empire of eldar similar to IOM), orks(and since its EVERY ORK thats translates to numbers of the number 9 repeated so many times it wont fit on this page), the tau, kroot, vespid, tarreliens, necrons, the old ones( they can just keep making new races too) and so many other races I cant remember them all, thats not counting the “heroes” of each of those races notably the emperor of mankind
Oh, and i just remembered; Lord Solar Macharius would be with them as well! He conquered something like a thousand worlds in seven years, and he would PWN all the grand admirals put together.
Well some where it stated that an out dated ship torpedo for a cruiser was innefective, it ws stated to be the equivalent 610 gigatons of TnT (610 thousand million tons). And it was dessigned to explode inside the ship...
