Considering a Jaguar took on an anaconda both on land and in water, and won, I’m pretty sure the lion could do so also.

Lions don’t really fight in water. A jaguar and a Lion are two different things.

Lions can fight in water. A Lion would whoop the ass of an Anaconda on the land and in the water with a small chance of defeat in the water if it was too deep for the Lion to have any purchase.

The only times I know that Anacondas have killed humans is when they have been sleeping or someone has tried to handle one and got it wrapped around them and they were trapped and killed.

A guy with a spade could beat an Anaconda crawling towards them though. They are not fast striking snakes. A Lion will make absolutely horrible and bloody mincemeat out of the snake.

The anaconda needs surprise for a successful attack. Because of it’s size, it would be very vulnerable to an alert lion and such. So if it gets the drop on a lion(depends on a couple of factors though), then it may have a chance....but I’m thinking that it’ll just be too much for the anaconda.

Well an anaconda would defeat the lion if it was in dirty water.Because anaconda uses suprise attack.It would get close enough to the lion and bite him in the head.And by the massive impact would bring him to the ground.And then would just wrap around and kill him.But on land lion woud win.

Round I: Lion (easily)
Round II: Depends on how shallow the water is. Given that the water is shallow enough for the lion to maneuver around, it would win.
