This is what he has against Anderson Silva, he has great upper body strength, quite a bit of weight, good boxing and a tough head. This is what Anderson Silva has on him: amazing flexibility, good reach, fast legs, amazing takedowns, submissions.
Conclusion with MMA rules: Mike Tyson moves in on Anderson Silva, Mike throws a jab and hook, Silva backs off and goes in for a single leg takedown, gets him completely defenseless in side mount and submits him OR he takes him down and ground and pounds him OR Silva moves in on him and knocks him out with a roundhouse to the head.
Well there are many more ways Silva could beat him, Tyson doesn’t really have a chance.
Martial arts have evolved and it was proven a long time ago that any MMA fighter with moderately good standup and some ground game experience could take out most boxers.
HOWEVER
In a boxing match, Mike Tyson is more likely to win because Anderson Silva trains to throw a punch against an MMA fighter, not a boxer, the boxer and MMA fighter punches are completely different, the boxer punches to avoid punches or to knock the opponent out or to win on points, the MMA fighter uses punches as a distraction to make a takedown or to follow up with a kick/elbow/knee.
