Son Goku
History:
Originally named Kakarotto, Goku is born a member of a race of extraterrestrials called Saiyans. Shortly following his birth, Goku is sent from his home, a planet named Vegeta, to prepare Earth for sale on the intergalactic market by destroying all its life. Due to an injury to his head that caused him severe amnesia, Goku forgets his purpose, and instead focuses on becoming stronger for little more than the pleasure of it. In the beginning of the series, Goku meets a highly intelligent 16-year-old teenage girl named Bulma, the desert bandit Yamcha, and two shapeshifters named Oolong and Puar. He also encounters one of his closest friends, Krillin, and others during his training. Participating in various martial arts tournaments, Goku also battles foes-turned-allies such as Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, as well as Piccolo Daimao’s offspring of the same name.
During his early adulthood, Goku meets his older brother, Raditz, an encounter that results in his death. In the Other Word, Goku travels Snake Way eventually finding King Kai’s planet where he trains under high gravity and learns important techniques like Genki Dama and Kaioken. Following the wish for his revival from the Dragon Balls, Goku continues to face other enemies thereafter linked to his heritage, such as Vegeta and even Frieza, whose actions force him to transform into a Super Saiyan. As the series continues, the focus on Goku’s past is shifted away from as new enemies are introduced as threats to the universe. After his encounter with Frieza, Goku trains his first child, Gohan, to be his successor. When the androids appear, Goku comes down with the heart virus that Future Trunks warned him about. Later on Goku sacrifices himself during the battle against the evil android Cell, leaving Gohan to succeed him. Goku returns to Earth seven years later from the afterlife and meets his second child, Son Goten. Shortly after he participates in the next martial arts tournament, however he is drawn into a battle for the universe against an extraterrestrial named Majin Buu. Goku also battles Vegeta after he is taken under control by Babidi, and the match ends in a draw. Goku then later on kills Buu with his Genki Dama technique. During the martial arts tournament held ten years after Buu’s defeat, Goku meets Buu’s human reincarnation, Uub, and takes off with him in the end of the story, intending to train him as a successor after realizing that his previous successor, Gohan, had prioritized his education over his training.
Ten years later, Goku is transformed back into a child with a wish made by Emperor Pilaf using the Black Star Dragon Balls. Shortly after he, Trunks, and Pan all take a trip around the universe to locate the Black Star Dragon Balls and return them to Earth. Goku later battles the evil Baby, in the proccess reaching Super Sayin 4, Android 17 and the evil Shadow Dragons. His final challenge is against Omega Shenron, who he eventually kills using the Genki Dama. Goku leaves with the original form of Shenron, only to appear 100 years later at the next martial arts tournament as an adult once more, where he is observing the battle between his descendant (Son Goku Jr.) and Vegeta’s descendant (Vegeta Jr.). Goku’s granddaughter Pan spots him, but he quickly departs.
Abilities:
Super Strength: He has wounded planet level tankers with his physical attacks and has moved a mountain with ease in SSJ3.
Super Speed: His speed was passed visible speed even in early Dragon Ball as a kid, and by the end of the series is easily nigh light speed. His battles are invisible to human beings and to the weaker Z-fighters they are just random flashes in the air.
Energy Blasts: Goku posses powerful energy attacks such as Kamehameha that are powerful enough to destroy large planets and if calculated, by the end of DBZ at SSJ3 he can destroy a mass worth more than 1000 planets with a fully charged attack. He learns Kamehameha(Turtle Striking Wave) from Master Roshi.
Genki Dama: Also know as Spirit Bomb, this is Goku’s most powerful attack, in which he gathers the energies from either the planet, the planet and all it’s life forms, or the entire universe, into a giant, blue orb which is especially effective against evil. He learns this technique from King Kai.
Instant Transmition: A teleportation technique Goku uses by simply locating a ki source to teleport to and touches his forehead with 2 fingers. He learns this from the inhabitants of Yardrat.
Solar Flare: A technique were he raises his elbows above his head, touching his forehead with all his fingers, and then a blinding light shoots out were his fingers meet.
Flight: By controlling his ki, Goku can fly at extremely high speeds.
Grappling/Lifting Strength:
Can hold 2 tonnes strapped to each arm and leg while training when he is in base mode.
Can easily strike with 10 tonnes on each arm in Super Saiyan mode. Vegeta did gravity training in 450G which would make his body weigh more than 27 tonnes, and was lifting his bodyweight with one finger for long periods of time and flipping about at invisible speeds. Goku can do the same thing and that’s just in base form. Each SSJ form increases his strength greatly by an unspecified amount
Striking power: In addition to a natural punch which can send something weighing many tonnes flying hundreds of feet, Goku’s ability to use Bukjutsu to flight at hypersonic velocities gives him a punch or kick that can send his opponents through small mountains or islands. In fights, his punches and kicks create shockwaves that rip up the land around him. The SSJ levels naturally increase his striking strength and especially since it increases his speed.
Projection power: Goku’s ki can be concentrated into a beam capable of destroying the earth many times over. Just his aura can create an earthquake and wind felt around the entire world, such as when he powered up to become SSJ3 against Majin Buu. He may also lift heavy weights with his ki, and like Frieza and Cell could lift a chunk of land weighing hundreds of thousands of tonnes, however this requires concentration. The first SSJ level increases his ki power by a factor of 50 according to the Daizenshuu databooks. His strongest form in DBZ is SSJ3, and in GT it is SSJ4.
Peak Movement Speed: [Way above 1000,000 mph]
Can fly faster than the human eye over many meters, giving him a speed of over 10,000 mph, and higher. SSJ Gotenks seems to have flown around the world a couple of dozen times in just less than half an hour, giving him speeds of up to 1000,000 mph. SSJ3 Goku may be more powerful than this form of Gotenks, and he should be able to reach similar speeds. It is unknown if this level of speed can be obtained without a much longer acceleration time than in a fight. Using Instant Transmission, Goku can move anywhere in only the time it takes him to use the technique. If traveling to a far away source, he has to focus on the ki signal for a while, but in battle, he can ready the technique nearly instantly to surprise the opponent in a tactical move. The SSJ levels increase his speed enormously as the flight speed is greatly dependent on ki.
Velocity and Acceleration Control: Able to accelerate and decelerate at hypersonic speeds and change velocity at those speeds within mere meters, and humans often cannot see these periods at all, so he can certainly do this in under 250th of a second as that seems to be around the human perception limit.
Peak Striking Speed: He can punch very quickly, often completely invisibly to lower characters, like his total body movement.
Fighting Style Effectiveness: Goku’s stances are quite basic and free-form and his physical attacks are very straightforwards, however, his style can control ki to an incredible level and has absorbed techniques which allow him to focus his energy to a point with enough power to tear right through a planet.
The most powerful basic offensive move in Goku%u2019s style is a concussive beam called the Kamehameha, which though with it Goku can unleash a planet buster with out much focusing, can be charged and focused to even greater power though it may take as long as ten minutes to reach maximum power. He has even used other techniques in combination with this move.
He learned a ki increasing technique known as Kai-Oh Ken when he trained with Kai-Oh, but that became redundant with the 3/4 Super Saiyan forms, which are when a Saiyan overcomes his natural limits and his ki level increases by more than 50 times. He also learned an energy ball technique called Genki Dama from Kai-Oh, which borrows power from all life and people. It can even gather energy from the whole universe.
When he became an adult his style also absorbed the ability to fly and regulate his speed precisely - this ability is called Bukjutsu.
He learned Instant Transmission from the Yadrat people. It allows Goku to disassociate his body and move instantly from one place to another before reassembling. It is a versatile enough technique to present tactical advantages for attacking.
Fighting Skill: Goku’s fighting skill is supreme. He can learn new techniques just by witnessing them once. Goku%u2019s nature is a pure nature, and he is honorable. He has a perhaps unfortunate tendency to spare some opponents. He has at times used clever tactics and methods, such as using Kamehameha as torpedoes from underwater when he realized Frieza could not sense his energy, and he was the one to discover Full Power Super Saiyan. He has also used his charged Kamehameha in conjunction with Instant Transmission to create what is often called the Warp Kamehameha. Vegeta has called him a fighting genius before.
Reflexes/Kinetic Perception: Based from his fighting speed, he can perceive moments of time in at least picoseconds, and he can react and counter instinctively. He was able to focus on a block orbiting King Kai’s planet at super speed and destroy it with a precise blast.
Peak Durability:
Bullets bounce off him. Missiles are no threat. Can withstand explosions of the level of a nuke and greatly above without harm. Blocked a powerful sword by focusing ki into his finger. Can create a ki shield to increase durability against attacks or intense heat sources. Can be driven through hundreds of feet of earth and rock and come out OK. Can be smashed through a mountain and just be scuffed up. It is possible for him to survive an exploding planet as Frieza did. SSJ levels increase his durability by raising the ki in his body.
Resiliance: Has enough stamina to go for hours of fighting, but he does require LOTS of food, otherwise he becomes weaker. Able to breathe in thin atmosphere and at sustained max flight speed. Poison has less effect on Goku than on ordinary people, but he is susceptible to diseases, apart from his healthy state of being. Did ten thousand one arm vertical push ups in 100xG.
Regeneration: Saiyan ability to recover from damage is better than ordinary humans, but Goku has no strict regen in fantasy terms, unless he uses a Senzu. Saiyans come back from the brink of death with a power level at least twice as large as before.
Sayin Traits:
Near Death Experience: If Goku recovers from any near death experience, his strength will be alot higher than before.
Hair: Goku’s hair never grows from its messy, spiky state unless he reaches a SSJ level.
Determination: Like all sayins, Goku has a strong will to fight and train to gain power.
Appitite: Goku has a huge appitite that is virtually endless.
