Well it’s true, reaction =/= speed as already stated. Ichigo in Bankai was blitzing Byakuya. That is quick and I don’t see fail pool keeping up with that, and arguing samantrics like bullet speed is a moot point fiction is fiction unless you want to prove a machine gun can hit SS arc Byakuya.
Secondly Ichigo uses a zanpaktou, it purifies when a killing blow is landed and last I check physical regeneration doesn’t heal the soul.

I personally think it was the plot.
Plot or not Dead Pool from Origins never showed that reaction if Wolverine of Sabertooth can tag him on a constant basis then Ichigo whom has superior speed can tag him. It’s just the way it is
