Superman is known throughout most of the world, not to mention being around longer than Goku himself. Goku is basically just Japan’s answer to Superman.

No, he’s not the answer but Superman is more widley know, that doesn’t make him better though.
No, he wasn’t even originally supposed to get so strong, he was based of old kung fu and karate movies, according to Akira Toryama
too bad he did get strong and plus he ripped the story elements that superman has.
Not really, some of it seems copied because both started of kinda weak but then got Godly because thats just how it went. The biggest similaritly though is that both come from an alien race that just so happens to look EXACTLY like humans, except sayins have tails and spicky hair.
