DBZ characters winning because they’re good guys make no sense at all. If there’s no proof or any kind of evidence of them winning against someone from a different universe, then they simply can’t.

Besides, we’ve seen the heroes at the mercy of the villains in DBZ quite often, only for the villain to stall long enough for some darn miracle to happen, (sometimes just to have a good fight).
